Live Well Estates is located in a very scenic part of Pennsylvania 30 minutes north of Indiana, PA. There is a big bay window in the dining room from which residents can view the lake and surrounding woods while eating. However, it is 30 minutes from the nearest large grocery store or hospital. My grandparents enjoyed the atmosphere; and one staff member (aide) in particular. However, there was a very high turnover rate among staff, so the staff did not care for the patients as they could have because it was just a "job" for most. The owner was not around much, but was wonderful when she was. The director was grumpy most of the time, and did not allow permission for many requests that would have been beneficial to her patients, such as when we asked if we could take my grandparents for an extended vacation of a week. (This was eventually approved, but by the owner.)

My grandparents were residents of this facility. There is also a nursing home onsite. Live Well is situated in a very picturesque area north of Indiana, PA. There is a beautiful pond out front that can be seen through the bay windows from the dining room. It is, however, 1/2 hour from the nearest large town (doctors, large grocery stores, etc.) There is a very high turnover rate among the staff. There was one woman there who took great care of my grandparents. All of the other nurse/aid staff were definitely just there for the job, not necessarily really caring for their patients. This caused my grandparents to have negative feelings about this residence. There were many weekly activities though. Also, at Christmas there was a huge family gathering, pot-luck style. This really helped the residents, as visitors would come if they wouldn't come otherwise. Overall, the place is beautiful but the staff could use some work.
