Concordia at Cabot has the cleanest, most caring group of people who truly care about their patients . From rehab to skilled long term nursing the nurses and CNA's and all who work are the best in this area ! Danielle in social services will do everything she can to help answer any questions . I know first hand as my husband was at this facility and I highly recommend! If I could give more stars I certainly would!

The lady at Concordia at Cabot took me all through the building and explained what I think I understand. I was interested in their one bedroom and that's what I saw and then she showed me their library, chapel, and dining room. Then we sat and we talked about money and I think I understand the money. She sat and listened and was empathetic to me. She wanted to know more about my personal life and what I was going through. I felt that the apartments were adequate to my needs. It's got a living area, a small dining room, closets, and a bathroom that's handicapped accessible, in case I would need that. As I understand it, no matter which room you decide on, it has either a balcony or a patio. Depending on what building you're in, you have a washer and dryer in your apartment, or you might need to go down the hall to do your laundry. The lady also showed me their dining area. She showed me a couple of menus and they offered me to come back and try their food. Their dining area was very nice. The one area was larger than the other dining areas. I asked the lady about that and she said that the larger dining area is where they have entertainment. Like if they have the Tampa Redskins come in to entertain their residents, then they use that. There was a fireplace and it was burning. There were tablecloths, etc.

We toured Concordia at Cabot. My parents like it because it's close to home and it's easy access. They also have other friends who live there. It's a very nice place. The staff was very helpful, informative, and patient with all your questions. The facility was very clean. They have a lot of different choices of care for people. They have exercise rooms, salons for ladies to get haircuts, movies, bingo, and woodworking shop for the residents if they want to do woodworking projects. They have shuttle bus service. They have the local grocery store deliver food for free.

We chose Concordia at Cabot for Mom because it was safe and it's a beautiful place. There are many people there, so she'll have a chance to make a lot of friends. They have a lot of entertainment and things to do there. She will be in the regular senior living apartments. The staff was very friendly and very helpful. They have an exercise room. They have housekeeping available if you wanted, and they have people that can come in and help you with things if you need it, like your medication and stuff. They have an activity room. It's very clean.

My aunt is at the Concordia at Cabot and the care is awesome. They have lots of activities, and lots of community things to keep her busy, which she needs. Her husband died and she was very distraught and now she's happy and she has friends. She's in a new little neighborhood kind of thing. She's just having a lot of fun and being very active. They do card games, and bingo, they bring in outside people for shows, and they have a lot of games. A lot of times when we call her, she's not in her room because she's out doing activities. They tie-dyed shirts one day, they have many things to do including arts and crafts. She likes her room, she feels safe. The building itself is very tidy, it's kept clean and very sanitary. They have an outdoor sitting area, they can go out and do stuff outside, and I've seen people sitting out there. I think they do a nice job.

My cousin moved into Concordia Lutheran Ministries. I actually have my father-in-law there, too. They have a really, really good setup for all levels of care. It's amazing and all the people are fabulous. The big thing is it's affordable for the good care you receive. They're very kind and watch over your loved ones. The food's really good. They have a very good hospice and medical care. They offer transportation and a lot of things that are all inclusive. The outdoors are amazing. The buildings are very well-kept. They feel homey, not clinical. The apartments are decent-sized. They provide transportation, meals, a library with magnifying screens, a weight room, woodworking shop, all kinds of activities, garages, dining rooms for each building, an in-house barbershop, and 24-hour care, so you can feel secure leaving your loved one in case something happens. They all have this pull cord thing. Their two-bedroom and one-bedroom comes with washers and dryers, and bathrooms. There are also common areas on each floor. So, if you want to have a get together with your family, you can make a reservation for the room.

My father got a room at Concordia Lutheran Ministries. They have assisted living. They have skilled care and therapy care. He was in the personal care part. Then he went to hospice and died in hospice; they have a hospice facility out there. They have excellent care. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Everybody had their own private bath. They have personal care. They kept me posted about everything that's going on. I appreciated the excellent care my father received when he was there. The staff was great. They were wonderful. The rooms were nice, cheerful, and there is a lot of light from the big windows. The rooms were comfortable, and you can adjust the room temperature to what you want. The food was excellent. The food was very good. They have a lot of activities if you chose to participate in them. The security was wonderful. They have good security. They have a salon, courtyard, and rooms with plants that are all windows. It really looked like you're in a nice hotel. They have facilities for exercise, if you're able to do that. I don't have complaints about it. It seems they have a lot of activities. Once a month they have an ice cream cart that comes around. They have bingo every day. They have wine and cheese once or twice a month on a Friday night. They have whatever you wanted to do. You can just stay in your room if you don't want to do anything. They have a lot of cognitive skill approach, and it was good. He was in a building in his own room with his own bath, but they have apartments there that you can buy. It seemed to be very reasonable. It wasn't too bad, and I guess it depends on the level of care that you receive. I went there. I liked it, and I just felt comfortable with being there.

My father is at Concordia Lutheran Ministries and the experience is quite well. They're very good to him there. He is in what they call personal care. He has a large room with a single bed, a chair, dresser, a nice closet, and his own bath. It is plenty big; he could easily add another chair. He has a TV and a nightstand. It is a very nice room and very comfortable. I don't think he has engaged in any activity; he has been going through some medical things, but he does not stay in his room, he goes out of his room for the meals and that. I have not tasted the food, but he said it's not bad. They bring him his medications, but he takes them on his own. He does not need anybody to give it to him. The place is very clean and there is no odor.

My mother started personal care at Concordia Lutheran Ministries this month. There were quite a few places that we liked, but my mother had COVID at the time that she was in the hospital. One of the facilities that we wanted to go to would not take her until she tested negative for COVID. However, she couldn't test negative because once they had COVID, they are still going to test positive for a while. We really needed to get her out of the hospital because her time was up. She needed to get to rehab and this is the only facility we could find. It just ended up being the most convenient because I'm in California and she's in Pennsylvania. So far, it's actually really good. My brother lives back there, and he was able to go and drop things off for her. He was able to schedule a face-to-face appointment to visit with her, like half an hour a week. I was also able to do a Skype session with her this weekend, and it's pretty good. She's not complaining about anything. She likes it more at home, of course, but she seems pretty happy there. She likes the food, and she likes the people. The staff members are also absolutely wonderful. I would recommend them because they are all-inclusive when it comes to care. They can do every level of care, and I think that was really the key. They can take my mother when she is transitioning, and then if she gets better, she can transition to a lower level of care if needed.

My mother went to a larger place called Concordia Lutheran Ministries. I think she enjoys it there. I guess the food is OK, she hasn't complained. I think Concordia is one of the nicer places that you can put somebody. If you don't make enough money, they have other ways to supplement that from other community churches and organizations.

Though everyone has been kind to my mother, their chronic issues with being understaffed makes them unable to deliver the level of care they advertise. There are two sides for almost thirty patients, meaning that call bells for bedpans take almost thirty minutes to be answered. For patients who are struggling with continence and bowel issues, this means they are left lying in their own waste multiple times a day. At this point, I expect my mother to have infection issues which will force her back into the hospital. She has been there a week and has yet to get a shower. The aides are too busy to bathe her. She calls in tears daily. Concordia, your aides are undoubtedly underpaid which results in your facility being understaffed. Do better.

As I drive Into the entrance to Concordia I see a sign that says "Healthcare Heroes Work Here". May I add Doers, Comforters,Listeners and Protectors. Heroes like Stephanie, Nancy,Carol and Joanne who work at the Adult Daycare Service. I know when I take my husband there he's going to receive the best care possible. They are not only caring for him but in a sorta way their caring for me too. I can take off my guard which allows me to relax, get some rest, and enjoy my life. I want to personally thank the ladies mentioned and May God Bless you.

I do not intend to use them if I decide to go to a retirement living. Why! The Food. Have 3/4 times eating there. Everyone was not good. Eggs wrapped in canvas and plastic to keep warm. Ugh! Food cold. When you ask for something they give you from the counter not a warmer. Murphy's counter of the 40/50's would be a step up.

I like the personnel at Concordia; my mother has friends there. They gave many options for how to pay and how to get in that suited us. They gave us a whole year to sell my mom’s house, and she is still paying a rent of only $650 a month. There’s all kinds of activities, programs, and games that everyone do together.

My mother is in rehab at Concordia at Cabot (Concordia Lutheran Ministries) with intense physical therapy and occupational therapy to maintain her strength. They also have personal care and their own apartments, independent living and multiple campuses. She's been there since the beginning of August. Most of the caregivers are nurses, LPNs, and aides or nursing assistants. It's very good, like a step down from an acute care setting from a hospital because she's not well enough to go home to stay on her own. They are there 24/7 and take her to and from all of her meals, her occupational therapy, and physical therapy. Because she is non-weight-bearing, they have a wheelchair van service to take her to and from all of her appointments. The caregivers are very kind, courteous, are really into working with elderly patients, very patient, and friendly. The place is very clean; you never see any spills or messes on the carpets, the decor is very updated, and it doesn't smell like a nursing home. It has a very fresh, clean scent.

It's a very nice facility and the people are friendly, however the staff is not prompt in responding to patient call button. I timed them and it took 20 MINUTES for the nurse to come after my grandmother pressed her button. Nobody even poked their head in to check if she was ok. She's not supposed to go to the bathroom herself because she's a fall risk, however no one will come to assist her in time so she gets up and goes by herself. I would not recommend this place if there was a better option available.

My aunt is in Concordia, and everything is taken care of. They have a skilled nursing and assisted living. It is a whole group of buildings. In the assisted living, they have residential living. They have skilled nursing. They have rehab. It is a big facility which provides different levels of care. They have many activities. They have bingo, arts & crafts, prayer services, religious services, and outings. They had dieticians on staff, and the food is good. The portions are good and very adequate. If you need a certain diet, it is taken care of. I like that they are very compassionate.

She was at Concordia at Cabot for almost four weeks for rehab. Everything went well, and she is home now. I think the staff is excellent. I did not personally eat there, but she was on a liquid diet. The rooms are very nice. I didn't have any problems with the facility. I would recommend this facility to others. I was familiar with this facility because my dad was here for two years for Alzheimer's. I was familiar with it, and I knew the care that he got when he was here. I wanted to make sure my wife gets the same kind of care.

At Concordia Lutheran Ministries, there was a 6-month waiting period and we couldn’t wait that long. I had friends in the facility and they seem to be very happy. They have different activities and I know they play bingo. They have crafts and they have entertainment.

The staff at Concordia was very friendly and helpful. They spent a lot of time explaining the different options and they took us on a tour of the facility. They were well trained and would be able to meet our needs in the future. They had single-room units and multiple room units where people could share. The facility was an older facility but it was very clean, well maintained and well run. It looked very good and they offered about everything. It was one the facilities we were considering when we would made a decision where to put my mother-in-law. We also selected that one because my mother-in-law had a close friend who's in that facility right now. So, we thought it would be beneficial. I would highly recommend them to others.

My aunt liked Concordia at Cabot. The staff was fine. We spent a couple of hours there. The facility has all the different levels of care, that's why she liked it the best, and so did we. And the cost was reasonable. It's ideal that it's close to our house, too. The facility was in tip top shape and the staff was very knowledgeable. Everything was fine. But my aunt doesn't want to move out of her house.

My grandmother and great aunt used to stay at Corcodia. It's an amazing facility. If I had to say about it to anyone in that area, it's absolutely the best one. It's clean and pretty. All the rooms are private. We certainly didn't feel that they were understaffed. It's expensive though. Surprisingly, they don't have a separate unit for Dementia or Alzheimer's. That really amazes me considering that it is financially successful and they've expanded.

A top class facility with heart! The rooms, the staff, the caring and facilities in general top notch. An amazing place for your loved one who deserves the best dignified care in their last days from staff who truly care about their patients and families. Our family was 100% satisifed and highly recommended this place for your loved one.

Concordia Luthern Home is located about 40 minutes from Pittsburgh, PA. A very convenient location. Overall, my family was very pleased with the care my grandmother received, particularly the nursing staff. The facility was well maintained and was very clean. My grandmother required a higher level of care than many residents and the community worked well with family and doctors. Many interesting activities were available. The cafeteria staff would often offer food to visitors. Overall, a very good facility.

Concordia is a big facility with nice grounds which are well maintained. Some of the things that impressed us were the friendly staff, the kind of care they provide, and the general location of the community. Among all the facilities we looked at for my dad, we will definitely go with Concordia.

Concordia at Cabot has always treated my family member with great respect and care. Despite the staff being a majority of young (high school aged) people, I was surprised and impressed with the reverence and love of the staff there. Concordia has a beautiful walking area along a large pond with various types of wildlife. There is a beautiful view from the Lund and Haven buildings, and an excellent staff. The facility also includes a chapel, a beauty shop, a diner/cafe, and a wonderful rec room. In the recreation facility residents participate in activities organized by the Concordia staff and also organized by the local high school (Knoch Jr./Sr. High of South Butler County School District). Every year, Concordia and Knoch team together to create a prom dance with the prom king, queen, and students from Knoch crowning a Concordia prom king and queen every year. Concordia also hosts a fall open house/festival for all of the residents including an excellent dinner and fireworks show that lights up the sky of sleepy little Cabot. These are just a few of the many activities throughout the year that Concordia has to offer my family member.
