This facility failed to recognize that my mom was taking a sudden turn for the worst and upon our request to get her to the Emergency Room at Lower Umpqua Hospital they disregarded our wishes. Unfortunately she passed away on our way to the facility to have her transferred. I would question the quality of nursing staff based on their critical thinking and assessment skills. Communication with the staff was below par, I feel that they were telling us everything was fine when truly things were not fine. When it was evident that something was not quite right with her, it seemed that they failed to take appropriate action to get her the medical attention that she required to sustain her life! I would not trust that this facility can appropriately care for patients of this small retirement community.
