Wyngate at RiversEdge Senior Living Community was a really good facility. The place was beautiful. I went there at Christmas time, and they decorated it really well for Christmas. The people were really compassionate. The staff was very friendly. They had a lot of activities for the residents and they had live music at least once a month. I had breakfast with them - sausage, egg, cheese biscuit, and then they had warm cookies out of the oven. The rooms were really nice. They were laid out really well.

If you value your independence, do not consider this facility during COVID pandemic. Once you move in, you will not be able to leave the facility and will probably be under quarantine lockdown restrictions (confined to your room for one or more weeks) should you need to exit for doctor appointment or dentist. You can not go to the grocery. You can not go to your hair salon. You can not go to church or bank. You are literally confined to the facility. The only access you will have to your family will be brief visits (at extensive distance) on the porch. You will rely on your loved ones for grocery errands, etc.

I visited The Wyngate at RiversEdge. They were just so nice, and the residents looked very happy. The place was wonderful.

Wyngate Rivers Edge is owned by a big company. It was a little further away and traffic was a little bit of a concern going over there, but we've heard good things about it. I believe it's a good place. Everything was very new and very updated, and they had good staff. It was a major facility and they had everything there, nurses, LPNs, and also activities.
