"During this time of COVID concern the process for visitation is difficult but even at that I can visit my wife through her window, bring flowers that can be left on the window ledge, talk to her by phone, and best of all we can see each other regularly. I appreciate the staff thinking about how to make it work, rather than why it can't or won't. I think the rooms are excellent, and the staff work hard to make this a top rate facility. "

"I have several family members with special needs, and sometimes it can be quite overwhelming to make sure what kind of care that they are receiving. My Aunt Jeanette, was diagnosed with Alzheimer's years ago, and has been bed ridden for the last two. Up until recently, she lived with her husband (My Uncle) but unfortunately he is becoming too old and brittle to take care of her. Since I live hours away and have a very busy work schedule, there was no way I could help as much as I would like. So as a family, we made the decision to put her in a nursing home. We choose Russell's, because it wasn't very far from her home, and it is a smaller facility, making it feel like more of a comfortable home. We wanted a small facility, so that she could get used to the staff instead of introducing new people to her every day, risking confusion for her. The staff is incredibly friendly, helpful, and cooperative with my Aunt's needs. We never have to worry if she is getting mistreated, or not getting properly nourished. They provide her with sufficient meals throughout the day, and really try to get her up and let her ride in her wheel chair to the recreation area, instead of just letting her lye in the bed and die. Every time that I visit, the facility is very clean, and has a pleasant smell, unlike other's I have saw. I am continually impressed, and hope they keep up the good work. "

"The rooms are large, my sister is in a shared room. The staff are very attentive to my sister’s needs. They have been pleasant and respectful. They check on her frequently. They have activities daily. It maybe farther from home than I would prefer, and could use some updating, but the care my sister is receiving has been great. That is very important to me."

"Years ago my aunt was a resident at Overbrook and I would visit every week with my grandmother. Many nursing homes I have been to have that distinct smell to it (not pleasant) but I didn't notice that with Overbrook, and that's a plus. The nurses were always very friendly when we would visit, and my aunt was well taken care of (clean and fresh clothes too). The room itself wasn't bad either, though they could have been a bit cozier. I think the most important thing for me was that she was well cared for, clean and the nurses were friendly! I can't remember exactly what activities they had, but I do remember my aunt looking forward to certain days because of different activities. Oh, and I almost forgot, I can remember her saying the food was pretty good, I think that is rare too. Compared to the nursing home my grandma was in, Overbrook gets pretty high regards from me. "

"Mom stayed in Riverside Landing Nursing and Rehabilitation from August until November. I would say that all in all, it was as good experience as she was going to get for a nursing home. I thought the girls were especially caring, especially Alison and Vanessa who were in her room often. The folks were super and really did care about Mom, and I appreciated it. The food was on the poor side; Mom didn’t like it at all, but she didn’t like too much anywhere. "

"My aunt was a resident in Belpre Landing Skilled Nursing & Rehabilitation. It was a fairly new place. It was excellent too. It was clean and roomy. It was all updated. They had a movie room, an exercise room, and plenty of things for residents to do. It was excellent; I didn't see any problems with it. She got plenty of attention. There were a lot of things for them to do. She was a ninety-three-year-old lady, and she wasn't too big on the rehab, but they did provide really good care. The place was clean, and they do have some assisted living there at that place as an option. She had a good-sized room. It was a big room; it had its own restroom and a closet for clothes. It was a nice, big room; you could adjust the air conditioning and heat separately. It has big windows for plenty of light, and two or three nice chairs. It was a private room. The staff were good. You could go in and eat there too. They didn't have a select menu, so you had to eat whatever the residents were served; but it was good food."

"My Mother stayed there for s month, I would choose to use this nursing home again. My mother was very well cared for, clean, well feed and treated very nice by all the employees that came in to contact with her.The on;y thing that I can say that needs improvement was the size of the rooms.they need to be bigger for 2 people to share."

"My father stayed at the Sunbridge Care and Rehabilitation Center in New Lexington, Ohio. He had fallen and broken his hip and needed to recover before returning home to my mother's care as she was not able to lift and bathe him by herself. The care was mediocre at the center; they seemed to be understaffed with nurses' aides. They seemed to have plenty of other staff. My father overall had a good experience there, his biggest complaints were only getting to shower two times and week and the cold coffee. I personally found it to be very noisy and crowded. I don't think the patient rooms were big enough and I am not sure how he ever slept because of the loud talking and people making noise. I will say it appeared very clean and I did not notice any bad smells. The staff was friendly and seemed willing to help the patients in any way they could. My father was only there about 90 days and he was certainly glad to get home, because like they say there is no place like home. "

"I visited the facility during a fundraiser that was raising money to pay for Christmas presents for all the residents. The staff was very courteous to all the residents and the guests during this event. I found the buildings to be very clean and well decorated. The staff seemed to have a good rapport with the patients and appeared to sincerely care for them. I thought that the nursing home was in a good location on the edge of town. The surrounding area was quiet yet close to the park, shops, and restaurants making it convenient for family to take out the residents on outings. There was ample parking and outdoor space for the residents to enjoy short walks through. I was shown the rehab room where the residents can play games on a Wii to improve fine and gross motor skills. This nursing home seemed to be a warm and caring place where much needed rest could be obtained. "

"Some of the rooms are huge while some are the usual size. Not many private rooms. Staff were extremely friendly while my friend was there. Food was pretty good or at least it looked it. Multiple dining rooms and activities seemed to take them on a lot of community trips. Therapy did a great job. Hopefully I never need a nursing home but if I do I think Eagle Pointe is pretty good. "
