My wife was in rehab at Hampton Ridge Healthcare and Rehabilitation in Toms River. I can say there was a small percentage of nurses who were very helpful, and the rest were not. Every shift, there was at least one nurse who would respond to requests or take care of my wife. The others, and I don't know how many there were, let's say at least five, would not respond. I had to ask to get water five days in a row, and it's just basic care. I had to ask for a towel, but they didn't have towels, and they wouldn't bring them. The size of her room was adequate. I'd say the upkeep was a little bit better and fair. The parking was also okay. It was adequate. I saw what food my wife had every day, and it was extremely limited and not good. They also didn't ask her what she wanted. They would just bring food that she wouldn't eat, and the drinks they had were terrible. For activities, they had the residents in a room and did stuff with them, but I don't know what it was. Our insurance paid for it, but when they quoted me what it would cost to put my wife in there as a home care facility, it was like $150,000 a year or something like that for memory care, and that did not include everything.
