I'm in Newmarket House. I have a one-bedroom apartment, and I pay no utilities. I'm paying only $566 a month. It's very good. In my apartment, you walk into a small dinette area that has a kitchen table and off to the left is a galley kitchen. The galley kitchen's has a window like a big opening looking out into my big living room. In that area, I have three huge windows. Then, you walk to the living room, to a hall, into a very large bathroom. I have a storage closet there and a linen closet in that hall. I have a very large bedroom with two large windows. I live in a corner unit and it's very nice. The building is old, but the apartments are nice. The part that I'm living in was an old school in Newmarket, and I think the year of the school was 1875. That's why all the windows in my apartment are big, like old-fashioned school windows with a deep, deep windowsill. It's old, but it's nice. The corner units are larger. I have a pet, so we're allowed pets here. There's no staff here and no kind of care to help you. If I need help, I have to hire them and that's through an agency. On the second and third floor there are common areas where people play bingo or cards or gather to have a little party. You pay no utilities here. The only things I pay for utilities are my telephone, television, and tablet wi-fi. Every floor has got bookcases with books in them. There are books everywhere if you want them. There's a laundry room and mailroom in the building, which is a plus. I don't have to leave the building to go out in the courtyard to do my laundry or get my mail. Heat and electricity are included in the rent. I've been Googling housing in the Chesterfield area and I have not found anything that's anywhere near what I'm paying now.
