Portofino Senior Apartments

Portofino Senior Apartments are in excellent condition. They take good care of all of their facilities, and they take good care of their residents. When you talk with their residents, you get good feedback, and that's good because they know as they're living in the facility, day in and day out. Most of their comments are very positive. Their residents are very happy with the maintenance and getting things taken care of when they need something fixed. However, the staff members had an awful lot of work to do, so I ended up waiting around to get the tour done.

Portofino Senior Apartments was nice. I liked the fact that it was in Henderson, so it was quiet. It was clean. The staff seemed knowledgeable and very helpful. The apartments were one- and two-bedroom, and they were very small. They had just simple, basic stuff. The washers and dryers were on different floors. They had access to different floors because they had elevators, so that was good, too. They also have a bus that takes you back and forth to any place you need to go, grocery store, things like that.

The first one I visited was Portofino Senior Apartments. The grounds were very nice. I was not able to see an apartment, but the staff who I talked with were very helpful. I was on the waiting list. They said that they would return my call, but they did not. I also filled out another application with them, but I have not heard anything. They didn't have any vacant apartments, but I had a chance to see the floor plans, and it was nice. The grounds were well-kept. My granddaughter and I got to walk around outside and also drive around. We deliberately went during a time when, if there were issues, they would have manifested themselves, but they did not. It seemed like a very nice and quiet community, it's just that their follow-up is really poor. I was hopeful with the way they were talking, and especially when they asked me to fill out the other application, which I did. They looked and saw I qualified, I fit every check, and that they would be calling me back as soon as there was an opening, and I haven't heard anything else from them. The lobby area was very nice. There were no activities going on. I saw the building and the lobby. They walked me down the halls where the apartments were, but there were no vacant apartments, and there was no apartment for them to show me.
