My mom is in North Platte Care Centre. We chose it because it's the only place in town that had a bed. They treat everybody pretty well, but just like anybody in healthcare right now, they're kind of running on a short staff. Things kind of get unorganized in that regard, so I'm not necessarily holding them accountable. They're doing their best. They're good to communicate with. Their administration seems to spread a little thin, but they still do their best to kind of get everything squared away. It sounds like the food's great there. I've not heard a single complaint about it so far. They do games, puzzles, movie nights, and stuff like that. They have a salon and physical therapy. I supposed based on what's available, the price is fair.

I discovered, that they limit the amount of adult diapers a person has in a week, with allowing people to sit in their own filth if they have reached their limits. I ran from putting my mother in there.

My dad's care was excellent! The staff was amazing with him, in spite of his extensive needs. They kept me informed of all his changes. They brought me food when he was dying and made sure my brother and I were very uncomfortable. They were supportive during a difficult time and even sent flowers to his funeral. I have nothing bad to say about this facility. I would recommend them to anyone and everyone.

Don't take your loved one hear. It takes 45 minutes to an hour for a hospice patient to get a breathing treatment. The night shift seems to be okay if the CNAs don't want to perform directed duties because it's a waste of time. Medical directives appear to be optional. I guess this is the free healthcare Bearny wants for all.
