Hidden Meadow Memory Care

My mother moved to Hidden Meadow Memory Care in Columbia Falls, and what I like best about it is the caring and compassionate staff. It's also a very clean place. I have been there several times at lunch, breakfast, or dinner, and the food always looks good. I haven't tried it, but my mom seems to like it and eats it right up. Her living space is good. There are also activities going on constantly, all day long. They have an activities room where they're either playing bingo or coloring, or doing some kind of activity. My mom isn't really capable with the stage of dementia she's in right now to participate much, but they bring her to the room, and she just sits and listens.

My mom has moved into Hidden Meadow Memory Care. Right now, she is staying in the assisted living side. It is a beautiful place that's set up well. They have two caregivers on the side that she is in. Everyone at both sides, the memory care side and the assisted living side, has been wonderful. They're always very pleasant and helpful. They genuinely care about the residents there. The dining areas are very nice on both sides, too. Their food is wonderful. The assisted living side is part of the memory care. It is a secure place, but set up for people that are not quite at the need for more care than the memory care building, so they call it the assisted side. They have their own room but they try to keep them in the community room as much as they can. They don't have a cooking facility in their rooms, so they do their cooking and they manage their medication. It is just for people that are a little bit more independent than the people in the memory care side. They have activities for the residents to keep them busy and interacting with each other. They have an area where they put jigsaw puzzles together. In the summertime, they have gatherings outside. They have a secure courtyard for them that is equipped with a grill center where they do barbecue for the residents. Families can go there and use it as well. We are very satisfied with this community. My mom loves their food.
