I stayed at Holiday Aspen View's independent living and left early this year. I found I was completely unhappy from day one there. The food was not anywhere near acceptable. I'd give a low rating on the whole restaurant operation there. The food was not good, the dishes were not clean, the food was not served hot, and the quality of the food was very poor. I was charged for maid service, a once-a-week housekeeper, and I got it one time, but they misplaced my things and never came back. They did give me a partial refund, which I didn't feel was fair compensation. The maintenance was also poor. They had a bug problem at one point. I didn't have it, but some of my neighbors did. I was unhappy and the other tenants were too. They have an outdoor pool, and it was broken when I moved in. They promised to get it promptly fixed but it stayed broken. They had a light pole in the back, somebody ran over it before I moved in, and that has still not been replaced. The sidewalks were also not properly settled in the wintertime. Some of the staff were gold mines, but all of the front office types were not. They blamed all of their problems on corporate. They always say they could not do this and that because of corporate. They were not responding to tenants' complaints and this goes on to this day as I have friends who still live there. They did provide adequate activities but I didn't make use of them. I think that they should be more responsive to the tenants. They should not pass the buck if there's a problem. They shouldn't just be blaming corporate and forgetting about the problem. They shouldn't be blaming another staff member and forgetting about the problem. They should do things about their tenant's problems so they can put an air of joy in there. They shouldn't make the tenants feel like they're complainers just because they don't like the fact that they never get their apartment cleaned and they're paying for it.

I went to Holiday Aspen View. It had quite a few amenities. I know a couple that lived there, and they're impressed. I have to go through my finances to see if I can afford it/if it equals out to what I'm paying in my household. The staff was very nice.

I'm a resident of Holiday Aspen View. It is a community of very caring people. We have a front office staff that is just excellent. They're quick to answer any problems or questions we have. They're a very friendly, outgoing group. We are delighted with the work they are doing. They are very receptive to any of our requests. We just think very, very highly of them and the job they are doing. The community itself is very, very attractive and appealing. We have a couple of people who make it their life project to make this place look appealing to anybody who comes in. They offer multiple programs constantly. If you want to become involved, there are constant crafts and games that you can play. They bring entertainment in quite often. There are multiple opportunities to be part of an active community. We never expected gourmet cooking, but the meals for the very most part are very good. They give us multiple choices. There's an occasional hiccup, which is understandable whenever you're preparing meals for a community, but, in total, the food is very nourishing, and there is a wide variety they give us and I'm happy with it. I think I'm getting great value here. We have been residents here for five years. We are very comfortable here. We enjoy our living accommodations very much. I have absolutely no complaints about the way this place is maintained and the job they do to maintain it.

I liked the fact that you go out for meals right there at Holiday Aspen View, because my favorite thing to do is to go to restaurants, and it's restaurant style there. The facility was beautiful. The cleanliness was very nice as well. The lady there was wonderful. She was very patient and answered all my questions. She was very nice. The dining room was beautiful. The apartment was small, but very nice. The only thing I didn't care for was I liked to cook and bake, and I don't have that opportunity to do it there. They don't have stoves. You eat all your meals there.

Holiday Aspen View was beautiful. It was so clean. It was just like home, kind of warm. The Christmas tree was beautiful. The rooms were beautiful. The views were nice. The staff was wonderful. I didn't try anything, but the staff said the food was very good. It was nice that they had three meals a day because I was kind of wondering why there wasn't a stove in there. She said we could bring our crackpots and things like that. They had a salon and a crafts room, which I love. I love the balcony that you could sit outdoors on. It was just beautiful. One of the rooms was kind of small because I looked at a two-bedroom, but it's OK. I thought they were very nice and connected to the bathroom. Albertson's is right across the street. It's very close to restaurants and the store.

My relative was a resident at Holiday Aspen View. It was a very lovely place. I liked everything about it. Everyone was very wonderful and friendly. The studio room was very nice and clean. It had enough room for a bed, a small table, and a TV, and it had a little kitchenette and a bathroom. It was a perfect place for someone who was going to use all the facilities because they had a big TV room, weight rooms, and reading rooms.

I went to Holiday Aspen View. I went there during breakfast time. It looks like it's very clean. A lot of people there were enjoying breakfast at the same time. It looks like they've got enough activities to keep my dad busy. It looks nice. I liked the proximity to where I'm staying, it's close to where I live. The price is a big factor. They showed me the activity room, computer room, and they have a barber on site. It looks like they have a pool room and pool table. So there should be plenty enough there to keep my dad busy. I was very impressed with the nurse that was in charge of the nursing part of the residency. I liked her very much, and I'm looking forward to her working with my dad.

I toured Holiday Aspen View. The staff that I talked to was very nice and very knowledgeable. Some of the cabinets in the rooms that I visited were a little worn. It was an older facility, but it seemed nice. The rooms were quite large. The main area, when I walked in, just didn't seem as clean and pristine to me. I did look at their menu, but I didn't get to try their food. They had live entertainment that came in, but they didn't have anything going on at the time. They had crafting and there's an area where they can all cook together. Sometimes, they have a pie baking contest. They had a medical person on staff and I met her. The residents really liked her. She was very upbeat.

My parents live at Aspen View in Billings MT and have for the last 5 years. The place has gone significantly downhill since Atria acquired Holiday in 2021. The biggest change has been in the quality of the "Chef Prepared" meals. The food is out right terrible and starting February 5th, 2023 what was a limited meal selection is being reduced even more. I wish I could attach a photo. In addition, if you want/need to have the meal in your room they are going to charge an additional $5.00 for each meal and they will not deliver it to the room. We are paying over $1,500.00 a month more than other local senior living centers for the meals before the new charges. They are staffing at a reduced level and you can tell the people who work there are not happy. In addition, the service is supposed to include weekly housekeeping but my parents are lucky if they someone comes in once a month. There are quite a few vacancies at Aspen View while we are on a wait list for another center. I highly recommend that you do not consider Aspen View in Billings MT for yourself or a family member.

I went to Holiday Aspen View. The appearance was very, very good. Lisa, the sales manager, was very, very good. It's new and clean. I learned everything from Lisa. They offer three meals, an apartment cleaning service. They could provide guest rooms, in other locations in the nation, if I would need them. Laundry down the hall, a very nice backyard, and a carport. The negative was I wasn't able to see a one-bedroom, I only saw a studio, and it's very small. I ate lunch, the service was great, food was great, but the water was not filtered. The dining area was clean, bright, and spacious.

Holiday Aspen View is a beautiful facility. I got a chance to talk with the residents, and they were all very vibrant. They seemed happy and content. They showed me their activities schedule, and it seemed like there were a variety of things that people could choose to participate in. I met one person, and she seemed very knowledgeable, completely transparent, and answered all my questions.

Holiday Aspen View is a facility for seniors without a lot of medical needs. They have lots of entertainment going on. They have excellent meals three times a day and a nice facility that is very open. Every room has a deck that goes out and looks out onto the property and gets lots of sunshine. I recommend the facility. I would not recommend their nursing staff there, though. They do have a nursing staff that you hire privately. The food is good, and they will deliver it to the room if need be. They could have a better kitchen floor plan.

I've chosen Aspen View. I looked at about five or six other communities, and I like this one the best. It's the homiest, I like the décor, I love the carpet. My tour guide was wonderful. He did a very good job of showing me and explaining things. As for activities, they're having an Easter Egg hunt, they have musical entertainment, and they have church service. They have a beauty shop, a theater area, and a pool table. They have all kinds of other activities.

My mom has moved into Aspen View. Very happy people, very well maintained, beautiful surroundings. Their dining room is restaurant-style, and they serve beautiful meals with many choices. The food is very good. It's chef-prepared, and there's two specials for the day, plus lots of choices. They come around first of all with your coffee or tea, and then they come around and they offer you Jell-O or salad or cottage cheese. Then they come around and take your order like a restaurant for the specials of the day. You have about three choices every meal. They had a welcome party for all the new visitors that Mom was able to participate in. My mom enjoys pinochle, and they play pinochle. The activities director is doing a wonderful job. They have a lot of different seasonal activities. They have a nifty knitters club for knitters and crocheters. They have coffee and news every morning, and then every Saturday they have donuts and coffee and news. There's just always something very special going on. My mom's room is amazing. It's beautiful. My mom actually has rented a two-bedroom apartment from them. It's very reasonable. It has an octagon, so there's lots of light. In every apartment that we view, they have lots of light. Her apartment has a wraparound porch, and almost every apartment has some kind of a porch. It was a game changer for my mom. My mom needed some nursing care because after chemo and radiation, she's on a feeding tube, and none of the assisted living places would take her. We were hoping for a studio apartment for $5,000 at an assisted living. At Aspen View, they allowed third party nursing care to come in here, and so my mom was able to hire somebody. She ended up getting a two-bedroom apartment, beautiful with a wraparound porch for $4,000 a month, including her nursing care. The other thing that they do that's very unusual is if you're a resident at Aspen View, you can travel to another Holiday Living Retirement Home and stay for free with meals. The other thing that they allow is family to come visit, like out-of-town guests to come and rent an apartment for $75 a night with all three meals included, so they make it very, very homey so that you can still have your family come visit, and that you can still go visit your family. It's amazing. It's the best kept secret in town.

I toured Aspen View yesterday. I walked through the dining room. The dining room was stunning. Very clean. The people were wonderful. They took me through to the craft room, the exercise room, then they took me to the room itself, and it was very beautiful, very well furnished, very well equipped for an assisted living person. It was one of the best independent living places I have ever seen. They have crafts and exercise.

We went to Aspen View in Billings and visited there. We were given a referral, only they didn't know we were coming when we had all the appointments. There was a miscommunication, but they were very friendly. They arranged at the last minute to give my two sisters, my brother-in-law, and I a tour, and it was very nice; they're also very nice people. It's like being on a cruise ship, and it really was. It's an independent living place, but if you need more care, they said they do have staff to help out. It wasn't as expensive as I thought it would be for what they offer. They offer definitely more independence in coming and going, people can have their own cars, but they have buses available too to take you to appointments. The rooms are wonderful. You can get a one-bedroom, a studio, or two-bedroom. They have a fireplace and a beautiful dining area, and have activities too. Across the street is a nursing home, they're not affiliated, but people can go there easily if they need more care.

I toured Aspen View. The staff was very friendly, very accommodating, and welcoming. They're a nice facility, the kitchenette was pretty small. The place was clean and welcoming. We were able to see the dining area, and it looked like a pleasant dining space. We saw a card room, a social gathering area, a chapel, and a TV or movie room. It was a well-kept, nice facility.

I'll be moving into Aspen View. The overall experience has been wonderful. I chose this one because of the layout of the apartment, the garden space for my plants, and I know they have pull cords in the rooms. I never saw much staff, just the one person, who was very nice. The facility is very attractive, very nice, easy to get around, and has nice wide hallways. The cleanliness is very good, too. It is beautiful, but not all the rooms have patios, and that's the only drawback, because I would like a patio, and my apartment does not have a patio.

We toured Aspen View. The people were very nice, and it would be a fine place to be. I liked everything about it. I liked the amenities and the apartments, and everything was just very, very nice. They have the exercise room and library. Of course, with COVID, everybody's eating in their room at this point, but my husband is more comfortable doing that. They would bring him his meals to his room. They have a nurse available for beds and stuff. It is just five blocks from one of my dearest friends, and everything that I need they have. There was no reason for me to look at anything else because this place would have been perfect.

I moved my grandmother into this facility 4 years ago. Staff at that time had lots of promises of improvements. In this time management has changed several times and never for the better. The current manager talks like a used car sales man and has been bold enough to allow smoking in the apartments, then notifies me that I need to increase the renters insurance coverage.Rising rent costs and decreased services. The kitchen staff turns over frequently and again never any better. If you believe you will have housekeeping services, you won't. They run the staff ragged because they are supposed to manage cleaning and run the meal service. I will say in light of our new world with covid they have done an excellent job of protecting residents but that is because they have locked everyone down in their rooms. Completely isolating residents. Not allowing any visitors. Then have the audacity to notify me of the yearly rent increase and suggest in their letter that they need money to give raises to the staff who have worked so hard to protect everyone. If protecting means no interaction with others, no cleaning services, and no quality of life. Yep, they did fantastic! Needless to say I am researching other options. So incredibly frustrated with what has happened to this community in the last 2 years.

My parents have been living at Aspen View for the past 2 years in a very nice 2 bedroom apartment. They are in the process of planning a move out due to the substandard food quality. They have addressed the management about this and there just hasn't been improvement. They have been joining other residents in making meals in a crock pot & purchasing food from the grocery store to share. They also eat out often when they deem the meal "inedible". What could be a great facility is mediocre due to meals.

My husband is in Aspen View and it's been a positive experience. The director is very personable and very helpful. I didn't really find anything that I didn't like about it. They meet all of our needs, they are very accommodating, and help with things that they don't normally do. My husband seems to like the food. They provide linens and change his bed, they provide the paper products that he would need, they have the transportation service because he has to go to the hospital four times a week, and there's a little walking path where he's met all the dogs in the unit. They have the entertainment all the time and they're working on providing different kinds of activities. There's always something to do and their calendar is pretty full.

Aspen View was way too costly for us, but it was very nice and beautiful. We'd love to live there if we could afford it, but we just don't have that kind of money. We spoke to two people and they were very nice. There were lots of activities you could do if you wanted, like movies, a library, games, a pool table, and a craft room. We were there during lunch.

My mother has been in Aspen View for two months now. It is independent living, but they prepare the meals for them. She does not have to do any cooking and goes down to the dining room and eats. They do light housekeeping for them. It is perfect because these are things that she is now finding harder to do, and I feel comfortable because I know that she is eating. The community is really good, very friendly, very clean, and has lots of activities going on for the residents, like bingo, card games, and crochet clubs. On the weekends, they have a band come in and play music. It is really a very good environment. The staff members are excellent. I would recommend them in a heartbeat. It is a great place for senior living.

We are going to move Mom to Aspen View once they have an opening. It had a warm, welcoming, and friendly manager and assistant manager and a huge dining hall. I toured the rooms, which were more like apartments and not hospital rooms. It was a very nice place; I really enjoyed it. They had a lot of activities, like shopping, movies, crafts, and painting.

I spent a night at Aspen view. I got to meet the residents and managers, and everybody was really nice. The facility was wonderful. They have what’s like an alcove, and there’s no full kitchen or bedroom. It’s not like your own living area. All the meals are in the dining room. However, it has hidden expenses I didn’t know about.

The employees seem to really care about the residents. They always know their names, their children's names and detail's such as the residents favorite foods or colors. The food at the facility is top notch. It's also one of the only facilities that can accommodate food allergies! The chef makes everything from scratch using the best ingredients! The activities director is awesome! She always has a variety of activities like wii bowling, cribbage and checkers. I always see a vast amount of the residents enjoying playing these activities when I visit
