"I am thankful for the 1st year we had a parent here. The 2nd year was not so good. The staff do the best they can, but they are obviously not well trained in elder care. Gloria is the exception here. She took very good care of my parent. The only activity I ever witnessed was the TV blaring in the big room. They had an intern of some sort for a while and she was good. She planned and executed activities. If your parent doesn't need much help, this is a decent place. If your parent has physical limitations, I would not go here. There wasn't much patience shown when my parent needed to process what was being asked of them to do. There is a lot of carpet in this facility thus, it smells most of the time. They need to update the facility for safety and cleanliness. "

"I had the privilege of visiting the Indywood facility in Cleveland, Mississippi while on a mission trip in the area during 2010. My fiance, at the time my girlfriend, actually stayed with some of the other women on the trip in an empty room at Indywood. She had nothing but good things to say about her stay there. During the time that I toured the facility, I had a large amount of time to visit with the residents and the staff. All of the staff seemed to enjoy their jobs and knew that they were important to the residents who were under their care. The residents seemed very happy to live in such a nice home and were all very pleasant to just sit and chat with.Some of the features that stuck out to me during my various visits at the facility were the spacious, private rooms where the residents had the freedom to come and go as the pleased as long as they were able to do so; the kindness with which the staff treated the residents; and how everyone who was at Indywood knew how well they were being treated, both residents and staff.I'll never forget the time I spent learning about this particular retirement home and, should the need for my family or my self ever arise to live in such a facility, I would definitely consider Indywood as the place to go. While it would be a stretch to go that far for myself or my family from where we live, I would highly recommend it to anyone in the Cleveland area. "
