Lakeshore Inn Nursing Home

This nursing home is located on a picturesque lake in the city of Waseca. It is a small nursing home that appears to be well maintained. My visit to this home was unfortunately depressing. Upon entry of the home I found numerous residents in the first room. The room had large windows that opened up to the view of the lake. Most of the people in the room were in wheel chairs and were not able to move around much. A few of the residents were complaining openly that they could not move to see the view outside. The staff ignored the complaints and went about other tasks. For over a half an hour I did not observe any staff come in to the room to help anyone. Other visitors were helping the residents get around and move to other places in the room. The rest of my tour found similar situations of staff not paying attention to simple requests from the residents. There was a smell that was not pleasant and some of the public areas were not well maintained.
