My parents moved to Laurel Oaks of South Haven and they're doing well there. It is new, so the amenities on the site are new. It's only about two years old. They have an administrative nurse who is there at least five days a week, if not more. The staff is friendly. They have both assisted living and memory care. They have field trips, as well as activities onsite. They also have a salon onsite for them to have their hair done, and three meals a day. It's also in close proximity to one of their children, so that works out really well. They started out in assisted living, but it became obvious they needed more, so they're now in memory care. What needs to be improved is some of the communication back and forth with the administrative staff when you want an answer or you call. I realize they're busy. They have a lot of patients. One of the things that we had to work with the staff on was we didn't want phone calls for every little thing, like if there was a stomachache. They're elderly and they tend to have a lot of hallucinations. It's probably one of the more expensive ones, but we have two parents in memory care, so that adds to the cost considerably, and we know that.
