"The property we went to was for seniors, an apartment complex. The facilities had a community room, with full kitchen and bathroom. This would be perfect since my grandmother likes to play bingo and cards with her friends. The apartment was a little small, but she is down sizing from a three bedroom house, so this was expected. We met with the Maintenance Tech and the community manager, both of whom live on site. So if there are ever any problems they can be taken care of very quickly. The grounds looked very nice and well kept. There is even a community Garden. My grandmother taught me how to can and preserve so I will be helping her in the garden for sure. Out of the other two communities we saw, this was by far the favorite. We've heard a lot of rumors about the people living there, but she will have to figure that out as she goes along. This is the place she liked the best. "

"The Brook has independent living also, so it serves both avenues. He is in the assisted part, so he has people who are visiting him quite often. They help with his meds and everything, too. Everything is very clean. The people are very pleasant. It's a very nice facility. I found it to be above board of what most people would probably be looking for, something that is well maintained, well looked after, and they're fed great. For the money that he is able to spend for this, it's very good. What I like best is how they maintain his food for him. He's not very good at watching what he eats, which also tends to lead to other health issues, so they've been really great to help with that regard. He does not participate in the activities, but that's just because of who he is. The activities they provide are wonderful. "
