My mom was in Brooke Grove Nursing and Rehab Center. It was a nice place, and they helped my mom get back on her feet. They taught her how to do diabetes care and things like that. The facility was kept up very well. It was very clean, and it was really appealing. It was set back from the road, and a farmland looking area. She had a private room with a shared bathroom. It was pretty spacious, and comfortable. There was enough room for visitors. We didn't pay for her stay, it was all paid by Medicare.

My mother will be moving into Brooke Grove. It's not a fancy place, but it was clean, well taken care of, and adequate. The people were friendly. I liked that she'll be able to stay there the rest of her life because they have long-term care also. She won't have to go anywhere else. All the levels of care were on the same campus, and that's what I was looking for. I saw a nice big bedroom that had a good bathroom to accommodate her walker. They had field trips and games, and some residents were chatting on the porch. They had dining areas in separate houses. Each house had 16 residents and it had a big lobby and a big gathering room. I kind of liked the idea that it's a little more intimate.

My mother lived in the independent community for many years and enjoyed the activities, although she would complain that they did not fix things in a timely fashion. When she had a stroke and was in the nursing facility for over 30 days with visits from us daily, we learned a lot about the place. The head nurse never returned our calls. Many times when we were visiting she would be texting on her phone at the station and ignore both residents and visitors that were waiting. When she did help you, she acted very annoyed. The activities listed in the nursing facility often didn't happen. In addition, my mother's independent living cottage was repeatedly robbed while she was in the hospital. The thief was eventually caught as he robbed several other people in the community as well but whenever I complained to the head of assisted living he tried to downplay it and tell me it was the wind that cut the stormdoor screen and that the window that was open had been broken a long time. When I asked why they hadn't fixed it he didn't have an answer. after the robbery ,my sister was coming to stay at the cottage. I asked them to be sure the place was secure and things were fixed so we could keep her safe. They didn't do anything and she was robbed while she was sleeping. There were no cameras on the campus although we asked for them . No gates or security. Although my mother lost $100,000 , we got her out of there as soon as we could . We find her new place to be much more responsive and safe. No one at Brooke Grove ever expressed concern for the repeated robberies or any desire to make it safer even though we contacted the governing body. In fact, they hadn't even told some of the administration that it was happening. Larry tried to cover it up.

My mother was there over Christmas and into January 2022. We chose Brooke Grove because my father was there and had a good experience years ago. Things have changed. Rude employees, unresponsive to patient requests, poor food quality were only the start. My mother is incontinent and they consistently took hours to respond to a diaper change request. They even took soiled clothing, hung it out to dry and then placed it into the drawer with clean clothing. The place looks nice, but the reality is a horror show. "Rehab" involved a walk down the hall and then back into bed. Run, don't walk from this place!!!

Brooke Grove probably needs a little bit more training for some of their staff because my mother fell twice while she was there. The actual physical and occupational therapists are very good there. The place was very clean and the rehab section has been recently remodeled, so it's in good condition. Her room was good and it was wheelchair-accessible. It didn't have doors, just curtains, but it looked like a very comfortable, newly-renovated hospital room.

My mother-in-law is a dementia patient at Brooke Grove, and has been for several years. As her condition has deteriorated, so has the care afforded her at this facility. At times, there are no Caregivers in her entire wing of the facility; at meal time, there are precious few to assist those with the greatest need. It is appalling that enormous construction has been performed, atrocious charges are levied for care, but the care has dwindled. Complaints are greeted with sympathy and nods of concern, but there is no follow-up and no improvement. Phones go unanswered. Personal items are lost or stolen. Even the meals prescribed by the mother-in-law's meal plan is largely ignored. This place is a disgrace - they offer a great sales pitch, but it is like a Hollywood set: There is nothing behind it!

My friend is in a rehab facility called Brooke Grove and has been there for the last couple of weeks. The family is satisfied with the way things are going. My friend should be there for another week or 10 days before she is anywhere near well. It’s well staffed, and I think they are doing a good job. They can handle any level of rehabilitation.

They have two independent living cottages, and they have continuing care. We're very familiar with Brook Grove because we used to volunteer there for different things, and they were very helpful to let us know what's expected of the place. They gave us a lot of information that we needed to know when looking at other places too.

Brooke Grove was nice. It is a beautiful campus but it is very expensive. I only talked to one person but it was just really expensive so I didn't bother to go any further. It looks beautiful and has a very good reputation; it came highly recommended. I had no idea about the staff except for one person and she was very nice. I didn't have a tour at all. It is a big huge campus. It is a beautiful location; I didn't go into any of the residences or any of the buildings or anything. I just picked up a brochure and left.

Brook Grove is an absolutely fantastic and magnificent facility. This place is gorgeous. The surroundings are rural with lots of trees. It is an expansive piece of land, and the scenery is beautiful. It has woods and fields with small cottage for people who want to live or need to live independently. It goes to assisted living, and nobody ever gets kicked out. This is the place where I would choose to go and retire. People are very easy going, and they have all kinds of activities.

Brook Grove is an old place, but it's very comfortable. I like mainly the fact that they will definitely help you when you have to get into Medicaid. The rooms are beautiful, very large, and very comfy. My main hesitation there is that it did not look to be as active a place as others, and that was a concern. My daughter and I both went, and we were there for a good period of time, and nobody was in any activities during the time we were there. They only have one aide to 8 people. That is not good. Most of the other places are 1 aide to 4 or 5 people. I was very shocked at that. For a cottage with 16 people, they only have 2 aides. But the location is practically around the corner from me.

Brooke Grove was recommended by someone who had her husband there. I am very satisfied with this facility for my husband, and I certainly don’t want to take any chances. It's a family-oriented place, and you feel that you are not in an institution. The rooms are quite large. They are rated highly, and so I think they are pretty good.

My father is in Brooke Grove Retirement Village. It is has good staff and a nice atmosphere. My father has been in the nursing home rehabilitation center for two months, and just about a week ago he moved to an assisted living house. The assisted living room is very nice. I wish they had more parking spaces because the building that my father is in, there is a parking lot of 12 spaces that serves 4 buildings.

Brooke Grove is our first choice. It is our favorite place. It has cottages which have more room than those of apartments. The cottages also come with a garage.

I paid a visit at Brooke Grove to check if the facility was suitable for my husband. The place was very appealing and clean. There were 3 distinct houses for Alzheimer's, each had a maximum of 16 residents. The staff were friendly, available and helpful. One of the managers showed me the place where they house the residents with Alzheimer's. The individual rooms were spacious and had secure windows. It was fully furnished with their own bath. They even had cats and dogs as pets, so it really felt like home. I wasn't able to eat there but I reviewed their menu for the week. There were available snacks and fruits at all times. They also have schedules of different activities and entertainment. A bus is provided for the residents that would take them to doctor's appointments or shopping.
