The staff at Bella Point Bridgton was excellent, but there's only so much they can do. That was $5,000 a month, and the food wasn't very good, but the staff themselves were very good. They always said hello to you, and they knew you by name. I had a room there with a bed, a recliner, a TV, and all the cable and stuff. They just had minimal activities, and I didn't get involved in them. If I needed to do exercise, I did it in my room. You get fed three meals a day, and the meals are the same each day. If you didn't like what they were serving, you could get a sandwich. Friday was pizza day. You get one slice of pizza, some chips and salsa, and that's it. You couldn't get another piece of pizza. They also had vending machines there, and I used them quite a bit for snacks. You could smell urine in certain parts. That's assisted living, so you've got to expect that. My personal room and where I showered and everything was good, though. They have 50-something people there, so it's hard to keep up. They had 12 staff on duty at all times.
