"My husband moved to Bayou Chateau Nursing Center. They had a nurse and CNAs in the memory care unit, I am very pleased with all of them. The staff was friendly and caring. My husband's not the easiest thing to take care of right now, but I think they're doing a great job. I've only been there one time when he was given his lunch and I thought it looked very good. They did bring him a snack yesterday while we were there. I just saw the food. It looked very good and he ate it with no problem. It's not a new building, but every time I've been there it's been very clean and I'm very happy. I'm sure there are some things about it that need to be upgraded. They take my husband outside. He loves to be outside. I do know they do take him out and let him go out into a fenced area."

"Without a doubt, the best place in the world I could have placed my mother to live. The facility is beautiful, the staff goes above and beyond in caring for my mother. The activities include outings, periodic family gatherings with children, grand children & relatives. During the month of September, "Assisted Living Week" is the highlight of their year with activities every day of the week. They treat my mother with loving care and respect. The meals are to die for, just like the home cooking my mother made for us. I only hope to be so fortunate one day to have the same in my "golden years". "

"My mom was a resident of Bayou Vista Manor Nursing Home. It was a wonderful place. The staff, facilities, and everything was good. The staff was very caring and compassionate, and they took their time to work with their patients. They were really good; I was impressed. The rooms were single-occupancy with a bathroom and no shower. They were roomy, they had closets, a couch, a place for guests to sit, a television, and adequate lighting. The staff was wonderful, and they had activities for the residents."

"My father has been placed in Oak Haven Community Care Center. So far, it's been wonderful. They're kind and caring and he's doing well. They were efficient in getting all of the paperwork required completed. He was placed within four or five days of my calling, so they were very efficient in getting him enrolled. The food was wonderful. Yesterday, they brought his plate, and they had macaroni and cheese. It had to have been made from scratch and chicken tenders that they fried, not just frozen ones warmed up, and I think apple cobbler for dessert. It looked delicious and he loved it. They're very active. They have something to participate in every day. They've just redecorated and it's beautiful. He can't participate in many of the activities because he has dementia, but if you were able to participate, you would be able to have something to do every day. It's all great so far and he's doing well. They all speak to me when I'm there. They know who I am and they give me updates."
