Our experience with Advena Living at Fountainview has been nothing short of excellent. Choosing a facility for a loved one is never easy, but the team here made that decision feel right from day one. Deidre in the business office has been incredibly helpful and knowledgeable. She took the time to walk us through everything and was always available when we had questions, which made a huge difference for our family. Kindra in Social Services truly stands out—her compassion and dedication do not go unnoticed. She made sure our loved one’s needs were met while also supporting us through the process. Sacorah at the front desk is always welcoming and kind. She creates such a positive first impression and makes every visit feel comfortable. The nursing leadership team, Jennifer Director of Nursing and Migel Assistant Director of Nursing, are phenomenal. They are responsive, professional, and clearly care deeply about the quality of care being provided. It gives us confidence knowing our loved one is in such capable hands. We’ve also been impressed by the behind-the-scenes team. Barry in Maintenance keeps the facility running smoothly and safe, and you can tell he takes pride in his work. Cameron in the kitchen does a great job—meals are well-prepared, and it’s clear that attention is given to residents’ preferences and nutrition. The entire facility is clean, well-maintained, and has a warm, welcoming atmosphere. Most importantly, the staff treats residents with dignity, respect, and kindness every single day. We are so thankful for the care and dedication shown by everyone at Fountainview.”

The nursing staff at Advena Living on Fountainview was not caring. There were a couple of residents that had fallen, and they acted like they didn't want to go help them or give them any kind of aid. My mom was supposed to have taken some more medicine, and they didn't give it to her properly. One of the pills she was supposed to have taken in the morning couldn't be taken with other medicine, and they were giving it to her in the evening. We had a hard time getting them to understand what that pill was for when she needed to take it. My dad was there, too. Both of them had come down with COVID, and my dad ended up getting pneumonia. He ended up dying from that because they didn't give him the care that he needed. It was an older nursing home. It could have some upkeep on it, as far as new carpet and the bathrooms were kind of run down a little bit. Overall, the cleanliness was good, and the food was good.

Best thing about this facility is that it is small and in a country setting. If you are a local and need this level of care, it is here for you. This is especially important to family members that want to be able to visit regularly. The nursing home is a part of the larger owned Lakepoint family of nursing and long term care providers. I would say this is a decent, solid choice, but nothing remarkable comes to mind.
