My grandpa was in this nursing home for a year and he loved all the staff which really shock me because he was not wanting to go to a nursing home at all. He was not the one to come out and talk to others or join activities but one thing he loved to do was go to the casino and they made sure he was able to go at least once a month, if not more. They were very family oriented and kept our family updated on everything that went on with him which was very comforting knowing that he was in such good hands and if something was to go wrong they would let us know right away. It was not the most fancy but it was home like and in the country which is just what my grandpa loved. At the end of his life stages they helped all of us through it and they were there the entire time the end of life process was taking place with him. I would definitely bring another family member there and I still go in to visit time to time.

We went to Country Care, it is under Anew Healthcare now. Well, it's an older community as far as the building is concerned and Eastland is a very, very small town. The staff is very good, they handled us well. They briefed us on how they're set up, gave us their brochures and all the information that we needed. They have shared and private rooms, the private rooms are larger. The shared rooms, I think, are the same size as the private rooms, but there are just two people in them. They look smaller because they do have two persons in the room. The private rooms are spacious enough, that's probably what we would want to do. Everything looked to be in its proper place, well taken care of.

Country Care is an outstanding facility. The staff goes above and beyond the call of duty. My aunt lived there for just a very short time before she passed. Everyone - including the owners Tammy and Marty did all they could to make her final days peaceful and dignified. They took care of not only my aunt, but they also took care of us at a difficult time. I would recommend this facility over a fancy home any day. Quality care is not determined by the décor in a facility - it is determined by the care and compassion of the people who work there and Country Care leads the way!

Both of my parents are settled in at Country Care. We chose this community because it had the most nurses per patient, and they were more caring than what I could see at other places. They have a menu and they get plenty to choose from if they don't like what the main meal is. They have bingo almost every day and then, they are taken on outings. My dad gets to go out at least once a week. For my dad, his room is a smaller size because he gets confused easily. My mom has a larger one though. I would recommend this facility.
