I'm in Benjamin Court now. There are four apartment buildings and each one has about 60 apartments. This is not a nursing home, but we're one step up and we don't have medical personnel in the buildings. It's an independent living community. I've been here about 15 years now, and I've lived in three different buildings in this complex and they keep it up good. They have anything you want to have. Each building has their own group of people and we can meet in the lobby. They have more things going on in building one. We live right next to the YMCA and so everybody has access to that. They have a small cafe that we can go over to. Four times a year, we have a dinner and everybody's enjoying them. On Thanksgiving and Christmas and things like that, they provide a family meal. In the main building, we used to have a library, but we had a fire in one of the buildings. We have bingo. We have a monthly calendar that gives us what's going on. We get along with the staff a lot better than the other places, and they keep us up-to-date on what's going on in the area. We have a lifeline to the fire and police department. We keep on losing and gaining staff. We only have three office people and two maintenance and they do the best they can. We have physical therapy in one of the buildings, and they have a lot of patients, and most of them are from here. We can go in the cafe and you can take your own food there. If you have dishes, they have a dishwasher and a stove. You can cook in there, but it's kind of hard because it's a small stove. They have a refrigerator and a garbage disposal. It's just a small kitchen. I live in a separate building than the cafe, so I don't go over too often, but they have coffee every Monday morning. We have one-bedroom, two-bedroom, and two-bedroom two-bath, and the price is reasonable.

The facilities are maintained properly. The office staff is rude and unresponsive to issues. When working with the elderly you should be responsive, kind, and understanding the staff here is the exact opposite.
