I've been living here at Leisure Living for about 5 months now. I'm very happy with my apartment. My apartment was renovated before I moved in. It's very comfortable and I would call it attractive, putting new appliances, new everything. However, there has been a turnover in staff. It doesn't affect me that much because I just moved in. But my neighbors have been very unhappy with some changes that have been made. Since I've lived here, most of the staff has changed and so it interrupts the care of the people who live here. A lot of people have serious conditions, but they don't need to be in a nursing home, but they're not in good health. At one time, they would bring their meals to their door and that has changed. In one month, I think they had two or three cooks and it's upsetting for older people to have changed. They do have a movie on Friday, but the movie is held in another building and you have to drive there. They have added a building for assisted living, but they're also taking some of their amenities to that building. Every week, they have a trip to Walmart on a bus. I think they go to a restaurant one night a week. They have a room for cards, a library which is just a bookshelf, and a room with some exercise machines. They need to improve their maintenance. They need to improve the consistency of the management.

I've been a resident of Leisure Living Apartments in Evansville for almost eight years. I've never been late on rent nor have they ever had any problems with my checks. Please, please, please don't rent an apartment from these people! The mental anguish that they will cost you isn't worth it. They don't have any routine maintenance schedules including changing the furnace filters. The grass isn't cut on a regular weekly schedule. My lease expires on May 30, 2022. You have to give them a minimum of a 60 day notice in writing if you're not going to renew their lease. After making multiple calls to the office, I finally received a copy of their new lease. It's printed on 8 1/2" X 14" legal sized paper. It's 32 pages long...seriously! Additionally they use a third party company to bill for water, sewage, and trash monthly. Last month the bill from them for my one bedroom apartment was over ninety dollars plus the regular rent.
