"Azalea Estates has been a Godsend to our family. My sister has lived there for 6 months and she is so happy. When relatives see her, they comment on how "alive" my sister is now. She is a very social person, and at Azalea, her personality and character traits are thriving. She has made so many new friends, loves the staff, and is very involved with all of the the activities that are offered there. I enjoy visiting, playing Bingo, eating dinner, and getting to know the residents. Susie and Patti are always checking on her welfare and it is reassuring to me to know that my sister lives in a beautiful home with people who genuinely care about her. "

"We chose Summerfield Senior Living of Gulfport for my mother-in-law. She will be moving in a month or two. I liked it a lot. I only met one staff member. The apartments were nice, and they had various sizes, so it worked well. They're brand-new apartments, so they're very, very clean. They showed me the dining area, but everything was not completed yet, because they're still in the process of building it. It had great views from where her apartment is. It had a bird sanctuary and a nice lake. It seemed very tranquil."

"My sister was at Whispering Pines of Picayune. I liked it. They had no warning that we were coming to look, and that was just right around 10:00 in the morning, but there was no smell, and it was just spotless. I also liked the fact that it was all private rooms. It's billed as independent living for seniors. In other words, if they have a car, they can leave. In my sister's case, she was bedridden, she could not get up and she was in hospice, and the hospice nurse just raved about how good they were. They took care of my sister, who just passed away. We paid extra to have my sister monitored every two hours. The staff members were helpful, and kind and did what they said they would do. When my other sister and I went in to look at it, we both came back and told my sister that either one of us would be happy to live there. Picayune is a poor place and it's not my favorite by any means, but Whispering Pines was like a gem hidden away. It was awesome. My sister was an excellent cook and baker and very picky, and she said all the meals were good. Once a month, they get together with the residents and ask if there's something they would like on the menu or if they'd rather not have it on the menu, and they got feedback from the residents. If you move in there, you don't have to worry about anything. They do your laundry, they do your food, they have games, and they have a movie night. All of those are included in what you get. However, they do not furnish the furniture, so you bring your stuff from home. "

"I went to Summerfield Senior Living of Slidell. I think that one is older and the outdoor area wasn't quite as big. But the rooms were nice and the place was clean. It's just we chose to stay in Gulfport. We didn't have any food there. We just had a tour. But the place was nice. They showed us some apartments. It has a very impressive large room for a studio. My sister just wanted a place with a wall. But the rooms are a nice size, so it's a little more expensive."

"We visited and it was very airy, light, and had lots of windows. The apartments were nicely done, I liked the hardwood floors, and the layout was easy to maneuver and navigate. They were very courteous, the head gal gave us a wonderful tour, and answered all our questions. We were pleased. The staff member was exceptional, very personable, gracious, said hello, and shook our hands. They serve three meals a day. So far, we would select Park Provence above the others."
