My great grandmother stayed at Snyder's for several years. At first, she was reluctant to move here because she had lived independently in the country since her husband passed away, but once she reached her mid-90's the family decided she needed extra care. I visited her there several times, and she seemed to like it there. She was enamored with the resident cats, who would visit her room often. I also recall a calendar of events on her wall each time I visited. The staff held many events for residents, including dances and bingo. The staff I saw during my visits seemed courteous and knew my great grandmother's name and preferences.As for the facility, it seemed to be older and in need of updating. Also, each time I entered I noticed a strong ammonia smell. All in all, I give Snyder's 3 stars. It's not as nice as other nursing homes I've visited, but it's what I would expect from a small town nursing home.
