Courtyard Retirement Cente

I will move into the Courtyard Retirement Center. They have a community breakfast every Wednesday morning and I've been to a couple of them and everyone's very welcoming and friendly. It has a kitchen and then a combined living room, and dining room area, and that part has a window. There's a small bedroom, a master bedroom, and a master bath is part of that. It's all senior-friendly with extra handholds and everything that you need. It's all kind of on one level, too. There are no steps, no stairs, a lot of closet space, and a nice sized garage with some shelves in it, so I'm very pleased with it. There's a nice community room that has a living room, several dining tables, and small kitchenette-type things you can reserve for family get-togethers. This whole thing is kind of like a block. So our back doors and the garage access are on the street side. Our front doors face a courtyard. It has a walk-around to every facility. There's a little gazebo and sitting area and a front patio where you can have lawn chairs, furniture, and plants. It's getting a little age on it, but it's fine. It's perfect for me. The maintenance person was helpful and responded quickly, and the manager and his wife, too. They have a schedule and different residents take turns. One helps prepare, the other ones like a kitchen help. They take care of setting the table and it's just sometimes finger food. It all depends on which residents are doing it and what they're capable of. It's like a community getting together. It's a very welcoming community.
