I visited this facility
I went to see Bowman Estates, and it was very nice. Their staff was very friendly and very informative. Their grounds were well-kept, they had a nice dining area, it was a good place, and it was nice and clean. The residents walking in the hallways seemed to be very happy with where they were. The rooms were small but they're ok, they would be better for one person than for two. You have to get your own furniture as the rooms were unfurnished, but they have a kitchenette in them. They offered cable, telephone, laundry service, and cleaning service. We saw their nice activity room, and there was also an area where if the residents wanted to cook for their family members, they could do that. There was a room with a larger table for them to do that.

I am/was a resident of this facility
I selected Bowman Estates. It's absolutely lovely and I love it. The staff has been absolutely wonderful, very helpful, accommodating, and they're right there for you. They have meals prepared for me and I don't have to worry about it. My room is gorgeous and I'm just very happy. I moved in yesterday. The food is wonderful and the dining area is truly pleasant.

I am a friend or relative of a resident
My mother has Alzheimers. She was living alone and it was not good. So I looked for a place over here by me.I came across Bowman Estates. I went to inspect it and was greatly pleased.It is a beautiful place, fairly new.You have your own little apartment. The have a huge dinning room where meals are prepared for you. They have a menu and you choose what you want to eat. Not everyone eats the same. You order off a menu.Laundry service is provided, housekeeping is provided, nursing for your meds is proved. They have bingo, movies and popcorn nights any many more kinds of activities.Church on Sundays and bible study on Tuesdays. I cant say enough good things about it. My mother is very happy here and Im happy because I dont have to worry about her. There is 24/7 nursing care. They even provide you with a button to wear around your neck to call for help.If you want to go to doctor they have a van to take you. Once a week this van takes you shopping if you want. They also have a beauty shop on the premises. This is family nights and BBQ with residents and they invite their family. Sometimes they have music and dancing.

A financial assistance program is available to those who qualify, making the Bowman Estates lifestyle affordable to all. If you or a loved one would benefit from our assisted lifestyle community, but are concerned about financial arrangements, please do not hesitate to ask our staff about this financial assistance program.
The Supportive Living Program is available in Illinois for seniors 65 or older who need help maintaining their independence regardless of their financial resources. Seniors on Medicaid who only receive minimum Social Security income can qualify.
Bowman Estates is the only affordable assisted lifestyle community in Vermilion County. The two-story community houses 76 studio and one-bedroom apartments, each with its own kitchenette, private bathroom and emergency response system.
Danville is located along Interstate 74, between Crawfordsville, Indiana, and Champaign and Urbana, Illinois. Our community is on the west side of Bowman Avenue in Danville, Illinois, just south of Winter Avenue and east of Winter Park.
