I'm living in a 62+ apartments, Maryland Village. They have a full kitchen and everything. It's a very nice apartment. They have one- and two-bedrooms, and I'm in a two-bedroom. They have front and back bedrooms, so that we have a little patio out back. You can put out flowers. There's a little storage out back. It's 900 square feet, and everything is well placed. There is a place for a washer and dryer. The bathroom is large. It has a large shower with a seat. Your closet is huge. It's very nice. It does not furnish meals. It has a large area where you can have dining. There's a kitchen in the back where, if you're having a large group or if you have a potluck, there's a place where they can all work in the kitchen, or they bring their stuff out into the very large area where there's a large TV and tables. There's a small room where, if you invite your family, you can have your own little place to eat and visit. and you can use the kitchen if you want. It's very limited on things, but the things it does have are very nice. There's a workout room, and there's a laundry room. In the one-bedroom, you can have a washer and dryer. It's well laid out to use every square inch that they have, and for convenience. It is an older place, but they keep it up. They replace the rugs if it's needed. New rugs have been put out in the hallways. There's a coffee room. It's another kitchen, actually, but it's up front so that people can come out as far as coffee in the morning. You can even do a little gardening out in the front to put the plants that you want out there. There are only two people: the one that repairs stuff and the manager. They have scheduled times for cards and different activities. People do puzzles in the coffee room and the large recreation area. A lot of this is done by the residents. They have times for cards, they have times for a workout in the morning, and they do strengthening exercises, just a workout for everybody three times a week. They keep raising my rent, so I'm not real happy with that, but I think that everybody's doing that.
