We are living in an independent living place called Affinity at Coeur d'Alene. It's close to the doctors. Everything is handy shopping wise. Anything that you can ever need is close. Everyone seems friendly. The community takes dogs, and that's one thing that we were looking for. It's clean and it's kept clean. There are lots of activities going on. I haven't been able to take advantage of them because I've been moving in, but I plan on it. The staff is good. They have a library, a swimming pool, hot tubs, an exercise facility, and family dining rooms if you want to bring in extra people for a big celebration of any sort. They have a billiard room and a game room. They have many different craft rooms. Anything that you could want, they have.

Not a lot of activities like their other facilities in Spokane. Rent is very high compared to other like communities. They say on the amenities that bus transport is available for grocery shopping; however, that is misleading. No bus available. A lot of space in common areas but very few activities and outings.

Affinity at Coeur d'Alene is excellent. The person who took us around the tour was very professional, she was knowledgeable about the place, and she invited questions. I was very impressed with her. It was just really clean, and there are a lot of options once you're moved in. The real kicker is that I could take my dog there. Every other place that I've looked at, my dog wouldn't fit in, but here she did. There were a lot of options and a lot of activities available. I just had an overall really good impression of the place. They had a library, a game room, there was a restaurant there that you could go to, and just things like that. The apartments were on par with the other apartments that we visited, and they were very, very clean. That's the first thing we noticed, the cleanliness, and that it's spacious.

My tour experience with Affinity at Coeur d'Alene was good. I like the independence of living there, and I like having community activities and different community functions too. The staff who assisted me was fine. The rooms are a little small. The cleanliness was great. It was very nice.

I went to Affinity at Coeur d'Alene. The staff members weren't as professional as those from the other place. I actually didn't see the available rooms because they weren't ready to be shown. The place was comfortable and kept quite clean, and the dining area was clean and comfortable, too. It was modern and well kept, and the paint job was done very well. The location is very easy to get to, and it's centrally located around all sorts of shopping.

Beware of the non-refundable security deposit clause in the contract. Management won't commit to anything in writing and will lie to your face. It has been 2 months and I'm still waiting for my partial rent refund. What they allow one tenant they won't allow all. If you want to live in the next step closer to assisted living then this is your place if you want to pay the high rent that isn't worth it. The amenities aren't worth it!!! Shop around.

Not the most friendly place. Would not accept a Physicians letter to break the lease because my mother was diagnosed with dimentia, but had to have the physician monkey around with their confusing red tape form. I would not recommend this place.

Affinity is a very nice community. You don't have to be retired, you just have to be 55 to live there. The apartments are fairly spacious. They have in-house maintenance. They have one and two bedrooms. My mom has one-bedroom with a living room and a full-service kitchen. She has in-house laundry and a nice bathroom. It is compact, but it is not claustrophobic size. It is very stylish in how it is accommodated and she seems to like it. They have a swimming pool. They have a sauna. They also have a van if you need that. They have all the activities you can think of like gyms and classrooms. They have a facility mail collection. There is a hall with chairs and couches where you can sit, talk, read, watch TV, and read the paper. On the main floor, there is a little bar. There is also like a coffee bar place. The security is great because the management's office is just right on the lobby and its open. The front door is locked and each resident has a key pass to unlock the door. However, they can improve on being more accommodating on seniors in ways that they need for different elements to transport loads of groceries or something. Maybe they should have more carts available or things like that.

I visited Affinity at Coeur D'Alene because I searched for the lowest priced and good facility. Also, it was in Coeur D'Alene where I lived. The rooms were small, I wish they had a bigger master bedroom and a storage room. The staff were very happy and very helpful. It was clean and they had a full facility. It was an excellent place, although it would be nice if they had a guest area.
