Pruitthealth - Panama City

I did not like Pruitthealth - Panama City. My sister was there for four months. We were told when she left the hospital that she was going there for long-term physical therapy, but then, after about three months, they were saying it was short-term. They don't have enough staff to take care of the patients. Her room was way down the hall, and I can count the times that I even saw somebody on that wing. You had to go find somebody, and a lot of times there was nobody around. One day, I had gone by to see her, and she was chewing the little cup that had the butter in it. If she swallowed it, nobody would have heard her. As I got it out of her mouth and got myself together, I had to go find somebody to let them know that she had that in her mouth. I ran into the nurse who was passing out medication, and she went and found somebody who was supposed to be taking care of my sister. The girl who was supposed to be taking care of her had gone somewhere else. I never saw her, and I was there for two hours. They were supposed to be staying in the room with my sister when she was eating. The place was beautiful, but it's understaffed. She had a private room. They had a putt-putt golf area, an exercise room, and a really nice dining room. The entryway was very beautiful. The person doing the paperwork, half of the time, she wasn't there, and half of the time, she would not return calls. That was very hard on me because it took a lot of my time. I had to do a lot of the legwork myself. The price was OK.

My mom was a resident of PruittHealth - Panama City. They're excellent. They were good to my mother. She would have loved to stay there, but the bottom line is they don't have assisted living. They only have a nursing home and therapy, so that was why she was there. The staff was good. The food was good. She went to bingo. Her room was nice and large.

My husband was a resident at PruittHealth - Panama City for two months. I don't recommend it to anyone. They don't care about their patients. They leave them unattended for hours and hours. It was just hell on earth for the two months we were there. It is a fairly new facility, but my husband's room was nice. It was a big private room. That is probably the best I could say about the place. They have a courtyard. But my husband needed to have physical therapy and he didn't get it. They didn't interact with the patients at all. I could walk down the hall, and nobody would speak. It was a horrible place.
