The thing I like about Sodalis Defuniak Springs is the administration part of the people. They're really friendly, nice, and pleasant to talk to. And they include everybody in the conversation. It's not just me in the conversation, they included my husband also. The tour was really good. They showed us a studio and what their facilities were. We went all the way around the building, and I love the layout because my husband can't get lost, because it's like a rectangle. If you keep walking you're going to get back to your room, or get back to somebody who's going to help you get to your room, so that was good. I also like that they let you decorate your doors and things like that, that way we could decorate my husband's door so that he will know his room and it won't be like everybody else's, so those kinds of things are nice. I just wish they had memory care, and that would be the only thing that I would say that I didn't like about it. It's not a big facility. But the people that are using the assisted living are really friendly. They're nice, and they looked like they enjoyed each other. And if you didn't want to go down to the dining hall, you could eat in your room, and that was OK.

Sodalis Defuniak Springs is a wonderful place. The people were very nice. All the things that they offered were very nice. The apartments were very good. They're unfurnished, so you have to furnish them yourself. They supply a small refrigerator and a microwave, and they do the internet too. They serve meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. They have a courtyard as their outdoor space too.

I was impressed with Sodalis Defuniak Springs. It's a very clean and very up-to-date facility. There was no smell and the rooms seemed to be nice and adequate. I was impressed with the couple of people that we met and talked with (the one that does the tour and the director). They were very knowledgeable, very helpful, and certainly very cordial. We liked them a lot. They were having bingo when we were there. They also have a courtyard in the center where they encourage the residents to plant some flowers if they want to or do something else like feed the birds. They have a room where there's a big table set up and you can put a puzzle out with the other residents, a library, a preacher that comes in, and other activities outside the community.

My aunt is here, and they're a 5. They're not as big, but everything is really nice, well setup, and clean. It's an older building. The staff is excellent, very friendly, and very helpful. They know all their patients by name, and they're really good. The food is good. They ask them what they like and try to get them as much of what they like as they can. They have outings, go to the community center, Walmart trips, and art classes. They have bingo. My aunt is not a real joiner, but they always ask her to come out, and they remind her for the time for meals. It's a close-knit community.
