"I liked the location of Ecumen North Branch because it was so close to me. The apartment that I was shown was more than satisfactory as far as the layout, as well as the safety bars put up in the bathroom and such. I liked that they offered wi-fi. The cellphones worked in the building. You didn't have to have a special carrier or a special cellphone. I liked the attitudes of the staff, their approach, and their philosophy. The common room and dining area were very adequate and appeared to be very roomy and bright. The facility was very clean and odor free. I did see some people playing checkers or chess. I did see some people just chatting in the coffee area. They were showing a movie in the chapel area, so that was good to know that they have that as an entertainment aspect."

"I liked Waverly Gardens, but they had a long wait list. It was on a lake with wheelchair-accessible paths all around it, a solarium, a movie theater, a putting green, and a workshop for the men. "

"We're moving Dad into The Waters of White Bear Lake next weekend. Very clean, set up, very nice, with very friendly staff. It's a nice place, and easy to work with. The apartment was very spacious, and the one that we picked, he can be assisted or independent. So we'll never have to move him again. It has room for a kitchen table. The dining area was very nice, open, and spacious. I think there's three different places in that one you can eat at. It's just clean and well kept up. They have plenty of events, and an event calendar that should be very helpful. There was something going on every day. Shelly was excellent to work with."
