"Allegria at the Fountains was under construction in a major remodeling of the common area. We were shown the layout and the interior design that they were redoing, and it's going to be beautiful. The place did need to be updated, so their reconstruction was timely. Each resident has their own doorway that they can decorate or put a table out or put a statue. We saw in the rooms, they had not only a bedroom and a living room, but they also had a sunroom attached to some of the rooms, which was a three-season room. You wouldn't want to go out there in the dead of winter or the heat, but it was like a bonus room. We have several residents. We toured the dining facility. We saw the library. We were treated very well by the staff. They were fully operational. It's an older facility that they're updating, and they're not only updating the decor, but they're also updating the electrical and the data lines. This is a major renovation that they're doing while the residents are in place. They had a beauty salon, and they had a manicurist there. We met a doctor, and they had a medical place there. We liked it, but it was just too far away. They weren't as diverse as I would have liked. My friend is Jewish and there's a very small population."

"Medford Leas is in the middle of a spectacular arboretum. Every apartment has a park-like view, with sliding glass doors to the outside. The staff are fantastic. Everyone who visits my mother wants to stay, from young to old. Even for residents without a car, there are several buses a week to nearby shopping, and (less frequent) trips to cultural events in Philadelphia, etc. Lots of varied clubs and activities for those who want, or lots of privacy for residents who prefer it. A superb option for retirement. "

"We are staying in Lions Gate. We're in their independent living facility. There is also an assisted living facility here. It is a continuing care facility. The environment, accommodation, and the services of the staff are wonderful. My husband and I are very happy here. "

"The facility was very clean and the staff are all pleasant. They all do their best to make their elderly residents feel right at home. The facility has a nursing home as well as an independent living community on site and I have had the opportunity to visit both sections. The housing is very nice as well as spacious for those who still wish to live independently but also have the comfort of knowing the nursing home is only a few minutes away. The nursing home is also very accommodating to the residents. They also have some very nice programs for nursing home residents that partner with local schools. For instance the adopt a grandparent program that was in place that gets local school children to come and visit with one of the residents that don't really receive visitors anymore. It also contain every luxury they can provide such as a barber/salon and small store for the residents who can't really get out anymore. "
