My mother was in Heritage Park and the staff took excellent care of her. They have one of the best physical therapy places in the valley for older-aged people. She had a spine fusion and she had to go there to heal so she could be independent again. It was excellent in terms of physical therapy. The staff was super friendly and gave the medications appropriately and at the right time. I thought they were very good. The food could be very good, but it was just average. However, the cafeteria and kitchen staff was really friendly and accommodating. For example, I came in and asked my mom if she would like something, then I would go back to the kitchen and they'd make it immediately, whether it was ice cream, jello, or hot tea, or whatever. They would tell me where everything was and that was wonderful. Their dinners though were just average. The place was dated, but they kept it very clean. They had a lot of other activities, and they had activities daily most times of the day; there were multiple people coming in. I think you get a good value for the money. Medicare paid for it and they took care of everything. I have been to other places in different states, but the value for this one is really good.

PT is excellent and nursing/kitchen staff does try. However, older patients who are here for rehab may be underestimated and not given time to express their needs. As a result, they may suffer situational depression. Food is bland and often unappetizing, but you can make substitutions. Vegetables are overcooked and lots of pork and beef. You can always ask for a turkey and cheese sandwich if you don't recognize what's on your plate. Loud TVs and thin walls. Overall atmosphere is 1960's Motel 6. Residents are often parked for long periods of time in front of nursing station or TVs. Bring an advocate or be your own. No stretching or light exercise outside of PT, which, again, is excellent.

Our caregivers know all our names and all our needs. They also work very harmoniously together, which creates a pleasant atmosphere!

I visited Heritage Park just to go there for physical therapy. I didn’t care for it. The staff was not very friendly or helpful, and the physical therapist had a bad attitude. It’s a plus that they have the physical therapy area, which is like a gym and well-equipped. But, otherwise, I really didn’t get a very close look.
