"My mother-in-law is staying at the Commonwealth Senior Living at Radford, and I guess she is doing okay. She said it's a lonely, lonesome place. They have the COVID business going on, so it's on lockdown, but care-wise they are doing fine. She enjoys them, and they told me that she enjoyed them, too. I think they have been required to stay in their rooms, so I don't know if they have that many activities right now. Food-wise, I think she's enjoying what little she's eating. The building layout is very good, too. They have church services and a hair salon, but all of those things are out of bounds for her at this point because of COVID, but the staff were all very helpful, and I'm pretty pleased with them."

"My brother has been in Wheatland for about three months. It is a really nice place. No problems whatsoever with the staff, they've been okay. It just stood out more than the others. It's recommended by friends or by the people we had there. Some of Norman's friends had been there and one of them had a relative that was living in one of the facilities. The food was really good when we went over there. He has early stages of dementia so he's in the dementia wing which is not quite as nice because they keep the doors locked up all the time. They can't get out. Where he is at now at assisted living, and home health care comes to give him therapy. With the special needs that he has, Wheatland is about $5,000 a month. "

"Two years ago after a stroke in the summer I knew it was time to find some help and I could'nt live on my own anymore. Im so thankful for everything I have here, from physical activities to games like bingo to keep your nogin going. I almost feel spoiled being treated by people soo loving and nice. Its almost unrealistic how they have daily community events and see my buddies. Coming from a Vietnam veteran I dont get to see friends often until I came here. I also like the young bands and local musicans. I also enjoy the bible groups too, its good to always keep religion in mind and keep the faith. The best part is I always feel like I am back at my home in North Carolina except I am being served 24/7 by all these professional people, nothing like living in my home in NC. I think out of all the vets I knew from the war that lived, I recieved the best care and best after life due to assisted living. "
