"The visit with Commonwealth was very positive. The director actually came out to meet my mother. It was during her lunchtime, and she spent about an hour with my mother. She has been very supportive and showed me the type of room where my mom will be living. We can fix it up any way we want. She provided suggestions on how to make the transition a lot smoother. I like the place, and I like their program. They have activity programs on what they do. The feeling I got from the program was that she can freely come and go. The family can come in, and they encourage family involvement in all activities such as meals. My mother likes flowers, so they showed me the gazebo area. There is a small garden walk area where she can be free to put flowers. And any suggestion or any reasonable request I have made, she was actually going to assist me in being able to provide those. It's like we can bring in a microwave or bring in the TV. We can setup the room like a living area or rearrange the furniture. I've actually selected this facility when the times comes that we have to move her. I've selected that program specifically because they spent so much time in speaking with me and supporting me. They even invited to come to a support group which I haven't done yet. I don't have any complaints at all. They have been more than helpful. "

"My brother has been in Wheatland for about three months. It is a really nice place. No problems whatsoever with the staff, they've been okay. It just stood out more than the others. It's recommended by friends or by the people we had there. Some of Norman's friends had been there and one of them had a relative that was living in one of the facilities. The food was really good when we went over there. He has early stages of dementia so he's in the dementia wing which is not quite as nice because they keep the doors locked up all the time. They can't get out. Where he is at now at assisted living, and home health care comes to give him therapy. With the special needs that he has, Wheatland is about $5,000 a month. "

"Two years ago after a stroke in the summer I knew it was time to find some help and I could'nt live on my own anymore. Im so thankful for everything I have here, from physical activities to games like bingo to keep your nogin going. I almost feel spoiled being treated by people soo loving and nice. Its almost unrealistic how they have daily community events and see my buddies. Coming from a Vietnam veteran I dont get to see friends often until I came here. I also like the young bands and local musicans. I also enjoy the bible groups too, its good to always keep religion in mind and keep the faith. The best part is I always feel like I am back at my home in North Carolina except I am being served 24/7 by all these professional people, nothing like living in my home in NC. I think out of all the vets I knew from the war that lived, I recieved the best care and best after life due to assisted living. "
