"The staff are friendly and caring to the residents and have always been most helpful to visitors. They are professional in demeanor and dress. There among is a wide age representation among the staff, with both male and female employees.The facilities have always been clean and neat. It lacks the common disagreeable odors often experienced at similar care facilities. One recent update is a new outdoor sitting area with water fountain, shrubs and flowers. Also, the sidewalks are heated to keep them clear of snow in the winter time.Residents may participate in daily and varied activities, including weekly religious services provided by community churches.Meals are appetizing and prepared according to each resident's nutritional needs. Morning, afternoon and evening snacks are also available. As a visitor, refreshments are graciously offered.Based on observations of several residents' behavior in a commons seating area; I wonder whether over-medication is used to control residents for the convenience of supervisory staff. "

"I feel that the Meadow Lake Assisted Living Center is one of the best in the area. The staff is all very helpful and friendly, and take good care of the residents. I have had meals there, and every time have come away impressed. It is also set in a beautiful rural location that is great for the residents. There are plenty of areas to walk and look around, and it is located on a small pond which holds lots of wildlife for the residents to enjoy. It is small enough of a place that everyone has 1 on 1 interaction with the staff, which I feel is very key compared to other large assisted living places. With the very friendly staff, great food, and very enjoyable surrounds in the area, I would highly recommend the Meadow Lake Assisted Living Center for everyone to enjoy and place your loved ones at. "

"My father is in Stoneybrook Suites. They do a wonderful job. They have a couple of options for apartments: studios, one-bedrooms and two-bedrooms. The food is wonderful, and the dining room has community-style tables. They have a movie theater, a coffee bar, go on field trips, and have a shuttle bus to take you back and forth to doctors. They are very caring, very good, and do a very nice job. "

"My grandmother was a resident of Cedar View Assisted Living Center for just over 2 years. I have to commend the staff for running such a well organized facility. My grandmother had a lot of fun with the other residents as there was always "something" going on. Nearly everyday she was out socializing with friends. Some of my personal favorite attributes of the facility was its in-house beauty parlor, the 24/7 medical care available, and the simple fact that I could rest well knowing that my loved one was in the best possible place she could be. The facility is clean and the staff is attentive and caring. Id recommend this facility to anyone choosing an assisted care facility for themselves or for a loved one. "

"Park Place Assisted Living in Brookings, SD is a wonderful facility! The new manager and the staff work well together and they are certain I have everything I need. There are many activities offered, so I don't have time to be bored! The food is great too! "

"Edgewood Brookings LLC is wonderful. The staff is lovely, caring, and I couldn't have picked a better place for my mom. She's happy there and doing good. They're in pretty high demand, so there was only one available room, but everything is incredibly clean and very nice. It's like a single room with her own bathroom. They also have games, puzzles, music, and they've always got something going on. The residents are welcome to go wherever they like to. They got a hair salon, a couple of communal living room areas, a nice dining hall activity center, and a backyard that's got nice trees, and a shady area. It's not a large place, but it's very nice."
