"My mother was only able to stay at Hampshire House for a month due to the progression of her illness. Yet that month at Hampshire House gave her and the rest our family great peace of mind. She did not feel safe living on her own anymore, and at Hampshire House she did feel safe and looked after in a lovely environment. The surrounding hills, lovely flowered grounds and the indoor appointments are uplifting. It is a home-like and classy at the same time. What is even more important at Hampshire House is the staff - from the Executive Director through the aides and part-time maintenance person. They each and all enhanced mom's life there. Because in addition to handling their assigned tasks well, each of them were consistently and remarkably kind, caring, supportive, and as mom noted more than once, respectful. That level of responsiveness can't be bought or trained. It muse be that each person working there was selected for the qualities they demonstrated on a daily basis. Our family will be forever grateful for Hampshire House making our Mom's life while she lived there, as good as it could be. "

"We went to Heritage at The Plains at Parish. That wasn't too bad either, but my parents were not ready for total independence, although they thought they were, and so that's not really what we're looking for. We only saw independent living. The apartments were very nice, the gentleman that showed us through was very helpful, there was a separate facility on the campus for assisted living, and if you needed to have assisted living, he actually told us that we'd have to move them from one building to the next. I guess that just wasn't going to work."

Kirkside adult home is a local nursing home located in my town. they are very involved in many parts of our small community including the church and school. kirkside is home to about 20 residents, all of whom were local residents there entire lives. the employees are all very nice and professional. the building has been in our town for over a hundred years. they supply several jobs to the community, as well as actively participate in community services. they celebrate all the holidays threw out the year. halloween they give out candy to the children, Christmas brings the shine of lights and decorations. Kirkside adult home is a wonderful retirement home that plays a huge role in out small town "

"We went and checked out Robynwood Assisted Living for my mother-in-law. The girl was very thorough in showing us around. The staff that we met was very, very friendly and personable. She answered every question that we asked. She was not pushing us like she had a time restraint on her end. We could have sat there for 2 hours, if we wanted to. It was very, very nice. I saw their activities board. They have a lot of things to offer. They have a salon there every Friday, and they had things that they would do."
