Content: This is not assisted living. It is senior apartments. The rent varies by income. HUD set. I make just under $1000 per month, my rent is under $300 utilities and Internet included. Very spacious, more kitchen cabinets than most houses. Not great closet space but room to put another clothes rack. Upgraded kitchen and, bathroom and floors. My complaint is the bathtub. Old people need walk-in showers. Instead the tub shower is way to tall, and even with the handrails I don't always feel safe. The toilet isn't handicap size. The staff they have at the moment are very caring, friendly and helpful. As an old person I know we can be difficult and needy. Some in here need to be in assisted living or a nursing home. This is an 8 story apartment building for able bodied seniors. Some have aides for minor assistance. A bus usually runs 3 days per week. The steps into it are too tall for some and if you want to ride city bus it's half a block down. Ambulance and fire department are here on demand and two emergency pull strings in each apartment. My other complaint comes with a plus. Not enough washers and dryers but it costs .50 to was .50 to dry. Cheaper than doing laundry in your house. I'm here because I want to be others because they have no choice. Some would complain in the Taj Mahal. I'm thankful for GormanTowers. It gives me a very nice, safe feeling, and an affordable place to live. Many lovely people live here. Apartment means you cook your own food in your own kitchen but USDA and a local food bank donate food to us monthly for free. The staff does provide occasional goodies and always provide holiday and Christmas parties including food. Follow the rules, behave like an adult should and you'll be fine.

I currently live here. I complained about one of the employees to the manager. They are making my life unbearable in ways you can't imagine and it would take pages to explain it all. I would never recommend living here.
