Crowne Health Care of Greenville

My husband is in Crowne Health Care of Greenville. It's been very nice. I can only visit in the courtyard because of COVID. The staff is very nice. Everything has changed with COVID going on. They have activities and things for them to do, but they're not doing it right now. The facility is very nice, very well kept. They have a patio.

This nursing home is an "okay" nursing home, but it could be a lot better. The main thing is that some of the nurses are not very nice to the patients, and sometimes they can get pretty agitated at the patients. They do have a lot of amenities and a lot of fun activities. They do have a nice outside area where people can sit and talk. They also occasionally have a elderly pageant, with pictures of the winners, every year up in the hall way, which is pretty neat. They also have a pretty big and nice lunch room area. My Granny also doesn't think the food they have is all that bad either! They also have an activity room where the elderly can sit around, talk, watch TV, play cards, etc. But, other than some of the staff that they have, the facility is a pretty good place.

My mom is currently in Crowne Health Care of Greenville. She's in that facility for about a week and a half. We chose this facility because there weren't beds available in the town where she lives and this one happened to be near my nephew's house. It's like 2 minutes away and my brother lives really close. We're really pleased. It's wonderful. I do think mom is well taken care of. I toured it and I was so pleased with it. I was introduced to all the employees that were available. I saw all the facilities. As a matter of fact, the director is a friend of mine from elementary and high school. And I trust her very much. So that worked out really well. What happened was mom had a major surgery. We were looking for a facility before that and then she had a major surgery and she needed some therapy. I think mom is happy with the place. Of course it's not home, but she's telling me that people are very nice and they treat her very well. It's a clean facility. She hasn't had any complaints. Of course she wants to go home, but this is the next best thing. The facility is very clean, very bright. It's not your typical nursing home that you see a lot of people that were gotten ill and are all in bad situation. It's just really nice. I would recommend it to anyone.
