I am a past client of this provider

My mom spent the last week of her life here. We are so appreciative of the care and support Neighborhood Hospice gave to my mom in her final days. She went from an attentive state to a comatose state prior to her passing. They explained to us the process she was going through and would continue to go through since they had experience with her condition before. They also showed patience and respect and dignity to my family. Once my mom passed, they gave us plenty of time to be with her. I do not have anything negative to say and am thankful for their service during this time.

My brother was at Neighborhood Hospice last year before he passed away. Everyone at NH was wonderful. They took great care of him and kept him pain free. All of the staff were so helpful to us and so supportive. He had a tough Medicaid coverage issue and they were able to negotiate the hurdles on his behalf so that he could stay under their care. I will be forever grateful for them!

I am a past client of this provider

My wife recently died at age 56 of ovarian cancer at the Neighborhood Hospice. The caregivers were great, but after she died two jewelry items, that held great sentimental value, and that were listed on their inventory sheet when she was admitted, were stolen off her dead body. The administration's answer to me was they are going to review their policy in the future. Nothing about identifying who cleaned her body after I left the room or any type of investigation. (They said they looked around.) Find another hospice in the area. You don't need to be worried at this emotional time about people who rob from corpses.

I am a friend or relative of a resident

My mother-in-law is currently at Neighborhood Hospice in Westchester. They are now charging $350 per day. We're looking for something more affordable. She was diagnosed having aortic aneurysm and associated pain. She's not happy being there in the facility. She wanted to go home instead. She said she's not pleased with the service and care they are giving her.

My husband was taken care of at this facility when he was very sick last year and fortunately he is better and came home to us. He got the best care from very caring and considerate employees, we were very pleased with the care he received. The people are very nice and really show consideration for their patients. As his wife, I was given information and kept informed of his care, I really recommend this facility if you need hospice care.
