My 88 year old mother lives with me. She recently fell and broke her arm. I needed help caring for her. Home Instead came in and is helping out 2 times a week, which is a huge relief for me. Mom LOVES her helper. I highly recommend this organization and the professional services they provide!

1st visit:. I told the staff person to have mom to bathroom and bed by the time I got home. That did not happen. My mom sat in her recliner for 5+ hours, until I got home. 2nd visit:. Staff did not show up. I called to find out why, answering service informed me that staff called in sick. I asked for replacement staff, because I had made plans, no one was available. Extremely frustrating. My wife and I have been held hostage to our home for months, years... We were hoping for a little relief. Home instead failed miserabley.

I had a great experience with Home Instead. My mother suffers from alzheimers and was needing some extra assistance around the house with light housekeeping, laundry and meal preparation. They provided exceptional care.

We've been using Home Instead since May and they are doing a good job. We had gone through several elder care websites and checked with Medicare and for our area they came highly recommended. They just need to improve the communication between their staff.
