I'm happy with Black Pearl Home Care. My mother, of course, doesn't want anybody in the house, so it's been an ongoing battle. My mother didn't want to move, so we tried in-home care. I had talked to another agency, and they were booked up; Black Pearl had immediate availability. They provide general chores, and they also help my dad with bathing and getting dressed. He sleeps a lot, but when he's up and moving around, they make sure he's not falling or anything like that. They'll even run errands to the grocery store if needed or stay with him so I can take her to the grocery. We started just a week ago, and I've had no problem at all. I haven't met the caregivers yet, but the first few days there were different caregivers. We paid in advance; we just wrote a check, and I think it's monthly billing. They've scheduled to what we needed and basically met whatever schedule we've asked for, so that's not a problem at all.

They help the most by always being there for us and being so dependable. I like the way they take care of my mother and the timeliness they have.

I get to sleep at night, which is nice for me. They are here all night in case she needs to go to the bathroom. In the beginning there were some ups and downs but that's expected. COVID-19 has been scary, but so far our staff has been good to us. They wash their hands right when they get here. The company is doing everything they can to prevent the spread.

It has made a huge difference to me and him. It allows us to stay in our home. They allow me to run to the store while they are watching him. With the experience I have had with them in comparison to another company I would recommend.

I think what the caregiver does helps her a lot. The lady that we have coming is always on time and always checking on us.

I don't know where I would be without them. They are very personable. There haven't been very many mistakes that we have encountered. You can pick up the phone and give them a call, and they will solve any issue you might have.

They basically provide companionship and keep the family aware of what is going on in the home. They are easy to work with, and they have their patients' best interests at heart.

They provide services for my father, which allows me to maintain a full-time job. I like how well they work with you to try to customize services to fit my needs.

This agency is ran poorly and under trained managers and the owner is not honest with potential clients and willing to say and do anything to trap people into service agreements that will require deposits that are almost impossible to get back. There Direct Service Professionals for the most part are excellent but under paid and become manipulated and bullied by Management that are taught by the owner on how to handle situations. ( The owner of Black Pearl is very hands on with every decision made so if mistakes are made he is just as responsible as any manager/ coordinator) Employees can only act accordingly to what they are told to do

I contracted two other companies, and although we were thankful for their efforts, both just didn’t measure up to the quality Black Pearl Home Care provided. Communication is always key, and I felt confident any problem would be solved with one phone call. Their Staff was prompt, and competent. Very thankful for their services.

They help my mom with bathing, grooming, preparing meals, running errands, and anything else she needs. I do recommend them to anyone who needs home care. They are the most trusted of anyone in this field.
