"Overall it has been pretty good with Hillcrest. They have some staff issues currently going on because they've grown so big, so fast, that they weren't staffed properly for it. But they're resolving those issues, they have new ladies, and it has gone better. I have a CNA who I'm very comfortable with. She's always on time and always friendly. She gets things all done correctly and expeditiously. I liked all the CNAs who've come out. They are all friendly and knowledgeable. I definitely would recommend Hillcrest. "We used Visiting Angels for my aunt before she passed away. We had them coming in at six in the evening and staying until ten in the morning. It was a long thing but they were very good. We didn't have the same one every night. They would usually come two nights in a row and then the next night, we have a different group. They were excellent. She really liked them and enjoyed their company. They were young and they interacted well with her. They provide basically assistance, helping her get up and helping her get to the bathroom. If she needed some laundry thrown in the washing machine, they would do that. They would watch TV with her. They would kinda check her through the night. They interacted really well with her and she didn't really want anybody in, but when we got them, she really kinda waited for them to come. She enjoyed visiting with them. For what we got, the pricing was reasonable and the girls did a wonderful job. I think she even had a male one night and that was fine too."

I asked for care from 9:00 to about 3:00, and the caregiver couldn't come until about 9:30. Then sometimes they forget to call me if she is not coming, but I think we worked it out to where they're better now. The current caregiver we have is a very understanding person. She's very committed to my husband's well-being, safety, and health. She's very attentive to him, talks with him, does activities with him, and makes sure that he's happy. We'd all like the price to be really cheap, but you've got to pay the organization and the structure that they work under.
