I highly recommend Margie. She helped my mother for about a year while I was out of town. A great combination of caring and expertise, social work and nursing. Most amazing was the effort she made to find a home for my mother's dog when we were running out of options here. I would definitely engage Margie again and highly recommend here.

She has an extensive background in the area of geriatric care, having practiced as a licensed physical therapist assistant and as a Home Health Registered Nurse handling treatment and case management. Margaret is a licensed RN in Missouri and Illinois. She is a member of the National Association of Professional Geriatric Care Managers and a certified case manager through the Commission for Case Manager Certification. Stepping Stones provides the following services: Comprehensive evaluation of individual's current level of function & current living arrangements. Develop personalized plan of care to maximize individual's health and safety. Referrals to appropriate facilities and agencies, as needed. Ongoing monitoring to ensure individual's safety and quality care. Assistance to family members in implementing planning. Liaison services to family members living out of town. Assist with transitioning to assisted living or nursing home. Ongoing education to caregivers regarding client's conditions & needs. Mobile Notary Public services at your doorstep. I highly recommend Stepping Stones. Since I live out of state, I have been using their services for almost 3 years to check on my mother once a week in the nursing home. What I like and appreciate about Stepping Stones is that they check on my mother with the care that I would, and more. Since the care manager is a RN, she is also able to decipher my mother's chart and various doctors' orders. I receive weekly emails with a detailed report of the findings. Additionally, I have used Stepping Stones in an emergency. My mother was sent by ambulance to the hospital by the nursing home. I called Stepping Stones and they arrived approximately 10 minutes after my mother. My mother has Alzheimer's and for some reason this was not communicated to the emergency room doctors. Stepping Stones was able to clear up the confusion and explain that my mother was there due to an illness. This saved us the time and expense of all the unnecessary cognitive tests that the doctors had planned. Stepping Stones provides a very personalized service and understands that they are working with your loved one.

This provider is excellent to work with and I would recommend them. I used the services of SteppingStones for my Mother for 3+ years. They helped me fill in with most any type of task when needed, doctor appts, home services, medical direction, nursing home visits, hospital visit. They are dependable, caring, responsible I was comfortable leaving them in the home with my mother. I would rate them 5 stars and if you need help with a loved one, please do not hesitate to call SteppingStones.
