My dad has Alzheimer's and I called a "free service" who absolutely did nothing but collect their placement fee from the Assisted Living Facility. They did not care that my dad was not doing well and that we were very worried about his care. Gayle at Solutions For Seniors was highly recommended to me by a friend who had worked with Solutions For Seniors for his dad. I have learned that Geriatric Care Management has many different types of people claiming to be a care managers. I also learned that it is unethical for a care manager to accept fees from facilities. The Geriatric Care Managers who work with Gayle are all RN's and have experience working with the elderly. My father finally got the care that he needed and he moved to a place that understood how to care for Alzheimer's patients. I have a RN Care Manager who checks on my dad regularly and keeps me informed about medication changes and she attends all of dad's doctor's appointments. I feel like I am giving my dad the best care possible.

They are experienced RN's who can talk with the doctor's and other health care professionals. They understand the aging process.
