We were introduced to this agency by the VA of Palo Alto. They're sent to care for my Father. We also use this company to care for my Mother which we pay ourselves. We have had 2 amazing caregivers in the 2 years since we've used CCSS. The other caregivers have no training and often don't do anything. We've even had situations that caregivers allowed people to come to our home some which appeared dangerous. The case managers are also not very good and I don't trust them or care for them. I would never recommend this agency to anyone.

The overnight aide was often asleep. at the end when I needed them most it took the nurse 3 hours to get here. He died 10 minutes later. I will never hire them again.

The initial meeting went very well and we were told they'd a) come at a regular time so as not to confuse our parent, b) make sure our parent took their medication, and c) help go through the mail to ensure key items were brought to our attention and junk mail was thrown out. None of these tasks were performed to our satisfaction. We waited more than a month to receive the written care plan and attempts to reach the case manager to discuss our growing concern were routinely (but not always) ignored. They did make a sandwich when they came (we didn't need this service) and helped with light cleaning (which was appreciated). If the client is 100% there mentally (ours has a memory decline) and can work around a changing schedule, this service could be a good fit.

I am very grateful for the services that CCSS provided for us from initial contact and through the various stages of unexpected critical help needs. The lead employee went above and beyond our expectations. What I would want other families/caregivers to know is, start looking for help earlier than you think you will need it. CCSS will do their very best to match your needs with the right employees based on the needs.

We hired Central Coast Senior Services to care for my mother. We were very much satisfied with what we got from them. The service was excellent and I would recommend them to anybody. They were very good providers and it didn't take them long to send us out with a very fitting caregiver. Their response was immediate. The caregiver was nurturing, attentive and responsive. My mom was very happy with what she got.
