"We toured Eugene H. Bloom Retirement Center, and the woman who gave us a tour was nice. The facility was nice. The residents that we saw and spoke to a couple seemed happy. They do the meals and your laundry, and it's an extra fee to get your laundry done. They said the residents are free to leave if they want to go to their families for the weekend. They give them their pills that they need for the weekend, and come back. We saw a single room, and they showed us one with two people. They had a room that I called a waiting room with four or six beds in it. That was way cheaper, but I think the people there were waiting for another room to open. They answered every question we had, and when we got to the financial part, we couldn't do it because it cost too much, but it was very well explained. They did a very good job explaining everything, showing the dining area and several different rooms, game rooms, and social rooms. There were several of those rooms and different ones to choose from and visit. The location was nice, very clean, and well-kept on the outside. I love the place. We just couldn't afford it. They have a really nice backyard. It has some benches and some neighborhood cats that come up, and the Humane Society comes over and feeds and takes care of the cats. They're all spayed. They come and feed them, and the residents sit out there and hold them. There's a lot of big shade trees out there, and it's got a screened-in back porch."
