Welcome to Beth Sholom Woods! Beth Sholom Woods offers affordable, independent living to eligible adults seeking a true community. Monthly rent is based on income at our U.S. Housing and Urban Development-sponsored property. Each of our 111 apartments includes a living room, private bathroom and a kitchenette. As a member of the Beth Sholom Lifecare Community, the Woods offers residents access to a wide range of services and amenities. Community activities are strongly encouraged among our residents and an optional weekday dinner service also brings neighbors together. Our monthly calendar is full of life-enriching activities, from ice cream socials, birthday parties and holiday events to sing-alongs, bingo games and craft shows. Residents of The Woods enjoy weekly bus transportation to grocery stores and other establishments, as well as occasional outings to restaurants, museums and cultural events. Visits from clergy, Bible study and religious services are also regularly offered. A number of health programs help residents stay active. They can participate in flu clinics, monthly blood pressure checks, and regular exercise classes, and attend health seminars on topics such as fall prevention. Our residents can participate in outpatient rehabilitative therapy in the clinic that adjoins our community. For a small fee, residents can join the “Land and Sea” wellness program and access the clinic’s exercise equipment and therapeutic pool. All exercises activities are supervised by instructors.
