I'm living in Jubilee at Texas Parkway's senior apartments in Missouri City. I've been here since they had just opened. I like the size of my apartment, and I love that I was the first one in it. After year one or year two, we started having problems with different management. We change management every six months, so it was a different set of people, and they could never get used to us, and we couldn't get used to them because they were moving so fast. Every set of people that came in was a downgrade to the complex itself because maintenance wasn't kept up. When I moved in, it was brand new, but everything went downhill since then. The only thing I can find good about the apartments is the inside of my apartment, which I love. We don't have any amenities at all. It did have a little fitness center that's across the hall from me, but now, it's been moved to the third floor. We were on the news in Houston because we had an elevator that didn't work for a whole year. I was on the side where the elevator was, and I was working every day, and it took them a whole year to get the elevator to work again, because maintenance wasn't kept up on it, in the first place. It was always a maintenance problem and an upkeep problem. The only reason I stayed was because of my apartment, and the fact that it was situated in Missouri City, so it was close to my doctor's office and my job. Now that I have finally retired full-time, I can see the difference and what's going on outside of my apartment. We don't have any garbage pickup. You have to take the garbage down yourself, and it's kind of awful to have to walk down when you have people over 55 who are living in the complex. They have a hard time already getting to their apartment, so it was kind of horrible. We have bingo every other Tuesday or every other Thursday or something like that. We also had access to a library, but I think they have moved. We have an exercise room with a treadmill and some other equipment, but I don't use that either because I'm like OCD when it comes to germs. They should work on the cleanliness, the appearance of the place, and the amenities.
