My Father loves living there and he often talkes about how wonderful the staff is to help him. They are kind and caring. He moved there after our mother died and has been very happy with the move. He was allowed to take many of his own furniture and belongings so it seems like home.

About Prairie View Assisted Living Center in Kimball, South Dakota
Prairie View assisted Living opened its doors to its first resident June 1st 1997. An addition was added in 2000. We are located in a small town and maintain the small town friendly atmosphere. Family and guests describe the facility as very cozy and home like. Our experienced staff treat residents with dignity and respect. Home cooked meals are served in our spacious dining room, family style. All 16 rooms are private with 5 different floor plans to choose from. Residents are encouraged to bring their own furnishings to give their room a home like feeling. Rooms and Laundry are done weekly. A resident may do their own laundry if desired. We provide bathing assistance. There is no extra charge for these services. Cable TV and WiFi are provided at know additional fee. The facility provides medication administration. All staff members are trained medication aides. The facility RN is on call 24/7 and in the facility one day a week . Activities include Games Crafts Musical entertainment Attending the monthly birthday dinner at the Senior Citizens Center Plays at the Pepisco Theatre in Mitchell Community Activities Turkey bingo at the school Hosting the pre-school for halloween Christmas and the annual Easter egg hunt In the summer we enjoy vegetables from our garden and fruit from our trees. We have an aviary with 9 finches from foreign counries and a 30 gal fish tank. Residents can be cozy watching the birds by the fire place. Everyone enjoys our annual Christmas potluck. Residents are able to invite family and friends. ( We have had more than 100 people seated in our common area.) We all enjoy celebrating Christmas with our Prairie View family. Religious services are held in our chapel. Catholic services are held weekly. The local Protestant Parish holds services once a month.
