We were very impressed with this facility. Compared to a nursing home, this feels (and looks like) a ski lodge in the hills. It overlooks the gorgeous golf course. The staff seemed incredibly kind and knew everyone by name. There are large open spaces that are open to everyone: a huge game area, with several games and a pool table, among other things. The facility has assisted living, independent living, and a memory unit. We toured all 3 types of living situations. All 3 have much more privacy and are much nicer than what you're used to. They had an apartment feel to them. All of them have kitchens to some degree, and nice bathrooms. The memory unit is fairly new, it opened about 6 months ago. It has only 8 residents at any given time. The owner emphasized that any given time, a staff person just has to look down the hallway and they can basically see all the residents at once. It also has a big TV room and an entry to the outside. Since it's for dementia patients, there's a code to leave the area.

My grandma has been in this facility for many years because she wanted assisted living. In that time she has had horrible falls and multiple bones have been broken. This last week she broke her neck and is too old for surgery. I would NOT recommend this facility.
